Zephyr started driving Mercy to Corentine's. Her house was roughly 10 minutes away, so it wasn't too bad.
"Where are you taking me?" Mercy said, both tired and tipsy.
"Well, I wanted to take you home, but you girls are having a sleep over or whatever, so I'm taking you to Corentine's." He explained.
"Why aren't they coming?" She asked.
"Because they're not drunk." He replied.
"That's a lie. We all had something to drink at Zaph's house. I was just mad so I had more." Mercy said, grumpily.
"Why were you mad?" Zephyr asked.
"Don't worry about it..." Mercy said. Mercy was mad because she thinks Zephyr doesn't like her, but she really likes him.
"No seriously, tell me what's up." He insisted. There was a moment of silence. Mercy didn't know what to tell him.
"Zephyr...I'm upset because I don't have something that I want." She said, making it vague.
"What do you mean?" Zephyr questioned.
"I'm so used to getting anything and anyone I want. But now, I found something that I love, but he- I mean it- isn't mine." She said, quietly.
"I'm confused..?" He said.
"Me too! I'm drunk!" Mercy yelled. They got to Corentine's house and Zephyr helped Mercy walk up to Corentine's room, to the bed. He laid her down and tucked her in.
"Hey.." Zephyr whispered.
"Hey?" Mercy replied.
"Can you cut down on the drinking?" He asked.
"Haha why? You worried?" Mercy said, jokingly.
"Actually, yeah. I am worried. I don't want you getting hurt." He said.
"I won't," said Mercy.
"Just....be careful. That's all I'm asking."
"Okay, fine," Mercy said. Then, she mumbled, "only if you stop making me mad..."
"If I stop what?" Zephyr asked.
"Don't worry about it!" Mercy yelled.
"Whatever, Dawn, just go to sleep." He told her. She turned over, facing the wall.
"Goodnight, Delacroix." She said before blacking out. Zephyr sighed and walked to the door. He looked back.
"Goodnight, Mercy." Then he walked out to his car and started driving. He called Corentine.
"Yo, I got Mercy to go to sleep." He said.
"Good. Are you still with her?" She asked.
"No, I just left."
"What the fuck, Zephyr. I meant for you to stay there until we got there!" She yelled.
"That's weird. Why would I watch her sleep?" He was confused.
"Whatever." Corentine sounded annoyed, but it was usual.
"Hey, was Mercy mad at me?" Zephyr asked, scared Mercy was upset at him.
"Yes! Now bye!" Then she hung up.
