Beautiful lies

Chapter 1

On a cool evening in Seattle, Washington beneath a full moon, as the whirling rhythms of traveling musicians fill the night phone rings  with a marimba ringtone of an iPhone and call announcer denoting "Aiden-Aiden"

Sighs contentedly Delilah lifted the phone to pick on second ring and said, "Hey Bro!"

"Hi little!" He said.

"Dear goodness Aiden when will you ever stop addressing me as the little girl I'm not any longer I'm grown now" she said.

"Neh-neh-neh-neh!"

"You can't change your position as my younger sister can you?" He said.

"So what's up with the call you miss me?" Delilah asked excitedly.

"No silly, wanted to tell you we're coming for the holiday with Alex this time but, don't tell anyone because I told them we can't make it. "Why though?" Delilah asked.

"Mum's birthday is in two days! hoping we should throw a surprise birthday party for her at the house, family then few family friends. what do you think?"

"That will be great Aiden, I'm sure mum will love that too."

"Say hi to Luna, Nancy and Bill."

"Alright bye Delilah talk soon." They both said their byes and hung up.

"Jenna! where are you?" Jenna!!" Delilah Push open the door to the room with a big grin "guess what!! just guess! guess!! Alex is coming for the holiday with Aiden."

Jenna is Delilah's older cousin who lives with them since after she her parents passed away in a car accident, she graduated from college while living with them and got engaged to Wren who lives in their neighborhood.

"Wow beautiful" Jenna said.

"Yes! yes!! I'm super excited i couldn't wait to finish what I was doing at the study after he told me about it, I just can't wait."

"So Delilah what do you intend to wear when he's coming ?" Jenna asked.

"I'll wear something nice, I know I'll definitely find the sexiest gown to wear, I can't wait the handsomest of man in all creation is coming to see me."

She whirled and started for the door , then whirled back again.

"How do I look? Am I beautiful Jenna? Alex hasn't seen Delilah for years now."

"Beautiful beyond belief." She meant that sincerely you're beautiful and spirited and entirely irresistible, Lila as they usually call her "Alex is bound to think so, too." Jenna said.

Delilah's eyes misted over and ran to give Jenna a big hug then picked her hand bag and car keys wore her crocs while leaving the room.

Alexander Hudson is Delilah's dream guy, for her sake he was coming to Seattle to see her from Singapore.

"Jenna you're preparing the party delicacies, and I can't wait to taste the mouth drawling cake in the whole world." Delilah said blushing at Jenna. Delilah asked Jenna to come with her to the store but Jenna said no because, she was so tired from work and needed to take a nap. She draws the duvet duvet and started sleeping.

Stepping out from the entrance of the house Delilah sited Auntie Maria as they all call her being she's their mum's younger sister, on her phone with a glass cup full of orange juice enjoying the cool breeze of the evening, she owns the biggest popular known saloon in the county. The one aunt who wants to know everything so she can tell the whole world afterwards.

"Delilah why the smiles?" Anty Maria asked.

"Aiden says we should throw a surprise birthday party for mum."

"Wow! that's beautiful I'm sure your mum would love that too because she hasn't had a big party for years now."

"just remember not to tell mum about the surprise." Delilah said. "I wouldn't for anything my dear" Anty Maria said sipping her orange juice.

Ah—ahhh-g!! Slowly Delilah murmured "I pray you don't."
"what are you saying" Auntie Maria asked. "O-oh-ooh! nothing." Delilah said.

"Delilah I've been longing to ask you, how come I don't know anything about who's courting you" She said again. Delilah blushed "you will some day! see you later I've got to go now it's getting late."

Walking down the parking lot dressed in jeans and a fleece jacket over a t shirt and crocs and hopped into a Honda civic 2020 model car and drove off.

Coming back from one of the biggest supermarkets in the city to buy almost everything they need for the surprise birthday party. Opening the entrance door, Mrs.Steve Newell coming towards the doorway.

"where have you been" she asked.
"Hy mum I'm so tired it's been a long day I need to rest."
"Alright but that should be after dinner!"

"Yes mum" by the way your Dad is coming back tomorrow."

"Awwwwn! That's beautiful mum I'm so happy we're going to be all here together for the Holiday."

"See you at dinner and have Jenna come down too."

"Alright mum."

Delilah headed to the kitchen called on Tito the maid to go get the stuffs from the car.
She made her way to the room to freshen up. On opening the door to the room she saw Jenna using her phone.

"Hey! I'm back what have you been up to?"

"Nothing more just been on instagram." Jenna said raising her head to look at Delilah.

"I'll freshen up then we'll go have dinner" Delilah said dropping her bag on the bed side.

"Don't stay too long Delilah else I'll go and leave you I just realized I'm hungry immediately you mentioned dinner." Jenna said.

Delilah finished all she was doing and they started for the dining room down stairs to go have dinner. On getting to the dinning room they said hy to everyone, there on the table were Auntie Maria, Mrs Steve, Fiona, Isla, Uncle Benjamin.

"Auntie Lilah" as the kids usually call her "you're back I went looking for you and Auntie Jenna said you were out, you didn't take me with you." Fiona said in her tiny voice.

Walking towards the dining chair Fiona was seated and almost done having dinner Delilah gave her a peck and said to her she's sorry next time she'll take her along.
Everyone finished eating, they all had little chat and started for the room to sleep for the night.
