Lexie's POV
I can't wait to move to Wisconsin. I just wanted to get away from my old school and my so called friends. I have such a bad reputation here. I was 'The Suicidal Girl' or 'The One Who Tried To Kill Herself.' The funny thing is that, well, that happened in 7th grade. I'm in 10th now, and people still aren't over it. I still cut myself every once in a while but that's only because it makes everything else fade away from a while.
I walked upstairs to my, now empty room and looked around. Don't get me wrong, I'll miss some things. Like the memories with my older brother, who died from cancer. I really miss him. I started to cut because of that. I was in so much depression that I did try to kill myself in 7th grade.
"Lexie! Time to go!" my mother yelled from downstairs. I walked down the stairs and my eyes started to fill up with tears. I hugged her and we grabbed our bags. We walked out and my mom locked the front door and that's when I knew, this was for real. I let tears slip my eyes and we walked out. Goodbye old house, Laweriy High school, Chicago, and most important, goodbye Caleb. My brother.
We got in the car and drove to the airport. Our flight left at 5:30 pm and it was 3pm. It didn't take as long as I thought to get through security, so once we found our gate, I grabbed my penny board and rode around the airport, looking for something to eat. I was so hungry and finally found a subway.
"Hi what can I get you?" the worker said with a smile. I told her what I wanted, Turkey, Provolone, and lots of veggies. When she was done, I payed the money and walked to a seating area to eat.
I got on my phone and looked at Vine, I wasn't as big as Nash Grier but not as little as a random person. I was known for singing. The last time I looked, I had 40,000 followers. So I mean I was known. I was eating when a fan came up to me.
"Can I get a picture!!??" she squealed. I nodded and whipped my mouth. She opened her phone and snapped a few pictures. She them told me what her social media usernames were so I could follow her.
I heard our plane number being called so I ran over and grabbed my bags before it left. I walked down the grey, boring hallway and took my seat. My mother and father were in front of me. A tall boy sat next to me and looked about my age. He put his stuff in the overhead carrier.
"Hi I'm Jack." he said sitting down and putting his hand out. I don't know what it was about him, but I didn't like it. I put my hand out and replied.
"I'm Lexie. Wake me up when we land?" I said getting comfy with my pillow and earbuds in hand. He nodded and also got comfy. It was about an hour ride so I just wanted to sleep.
*1 hour later*
"Time to wake up. Were landing." Jack said lightly shaking my shoulder. I thanked him and put my seatbelt on.
"This is your captain speaking. If you look out your window you will see the beautiful city of Madison. We are here and will be landing in about 5 minuets. Please turn off all electronics and please put your seatbelt on, Thank You for riding with SouthWest Airlines." the pilot said.
~ in the airport~
We waited 30 minuets to finally find our stuff and my mom and dad had to go to the restroom. My bag came out on the conveyer belt and I couldn't get it off.
"Need help?" someone said behind me. It was the jack kid I sat with on the plane. I nodded and he got my bag off. I thanked him and went to go sit down. My mom came out of the bathroom.
"Hi honey. How was the ride for you?" She said taking a seat next to me.
"Good. How was yours?" I say laying my head on her shoulder. My dad walked out and we were ready to go. 'I hope I don't see that Jack kid anymore.' I thought to myself as were got into our rental car. I feel asleep on the car ride to our new house and my mom woke me up when we were there.
"Honey were here." she said with her soothing voice. I got up and got out of the car when I see Jack. He's my neighbor. 'Great!' I thought as I grabbed my bags. 'Can't wait' I walked inside and looked around I grabbed my travel pillow and blanket and laid on the floor till I feel asleep.
