Carrie and Mike's relationship seemed to get stronger once they'd shared everything with one another. At first, they were both terrified to be completely open about their lives but afterwards they were thankful for having the courage to.

"Carrie, I um-,"

"I'm sorry." She apologized once she realized that she was zoning out of the conversation they were having. "What, um what did you say?" Carrie questioned, licking her lips as she returned her gaze to her boyfriend, taking a bite of her sandwich.

"Is everything alright with you today? You just seem a bit off." Mike looked at her seriously, taking a sip of the drink they were sharing.

"I, I am just thinking about some things, that's all." Carrie answered, letting out a deep breath. "Mike, do you trust me?" The question confused him; why would she feel the need to ask him such a question?

"Of course I do. Why do you ask?" He returned the question, the blonde sitting up straight in her chair. "Is something going on?" Mike tried to make eye contact with her only she wouldn't.

"I, I just don't want you feeling as if you have to babysit me, like with my eating." She confessed, licking her lips as she could feel him looking at her. "I feel like you're watching my every move and it's freaking me out." She added, Mike confused.

"Care, I just want you to be healthy and safe." He reached across the table to gently hold her hand.

"I don't need someone to monitor me though. I am okay. I'm doing fine, I promise." She shook her head, looking at him seriously.

"I'm sorry. I just care about you a lot." He apologized, her flashing him a faint smile.

"It's okay. So, what were you planning on doing for your brother's birthday?" Carrie questioned, taking another bite of her sandwich as she watched Mike pick up his phone to check the time, him shrugging his shoulders.

"I'm not sure. I know I was going to fly up to surprise him but I was thinking," he paused to make eye contact with his girlfriend, her eyes widening.

"You were thinking, what?" Carrie giggled, him shaking his head with a soft smile. Never did he picture himself being so incredibly happy with someone like he was with Carrie.

"I was going to ask you if you wanted to go with me, you know and meet Bud." Mike asked nervously. Bud was the only family that he had left; therefore, it was a big deal to him that Carrie meet his brother.

"I would love to." She bit her lip gently as she stood from her seat to walk over to his, sitting on his lap. "What?" Carrie giggled once she caught him staring at her.

"I'm just happy with you Carrie." He answered, kissing her passionately. "I am so happy with you." Mike added as they pulled away, only to kiss once more.
