My eyes flutter open I can feel the heat of the sun on my body. I sit up find myself dripping in sweat.

"H-hello?" I try to manage to say. My mouth is dry and I can't get any thing out. What the hell happend?

~ 9 hours earlier~

"Okay honey. I want you to listen. You may not know him. Or anything about him. But I want you to be on your best behavior when your with your father!" I look into my mothers eyes, she looks tired and aggravated. And I think her eyes are red from crying.

"Mom. I don't even understand why I have to go. I've been on this earth for 16 years and I'm doing perfectly fine without him, So in his mind he thinks it's a great idea to leave me and also you for sixteen years, move to Australia and then calls and says he wants to see me?!!!" I throw my hands up in the air in confusion. I can feel my mom stare at me at the side of my face.

"Gosh, you look just like your father." I look over at my mom and she gives me a warm reassuring smile. And she pats me on my hand. I've never seen a picture of my father. And quite frankly I don't care too. I have brown hair that falls down to my back, grey eyes and a little pale like face. "Mom can I go now. I really don't wanna miss my flight." I tell her rolling my eyes.

"Alright Rebecca, make sure you call me RIGHT when you enter the airport. And don't sit next to any men on the plane. I don't trust them, oh and in case your hungry I put a sandwich in your purse." I look at my mom in her eyes, her eyes are watering. I unbuckle my seatbelt and lean over and give my mom a warm hug.

"Flight 657 to Australia Is now boarding passengers. Flight 657 is now boarding"

"Alright mom. I guess that's meant for me. I'm gonna miss you." I give my mom another hug and quickly make my way to the airport.

As I'm looking for a seat on the plane I get a couple of stares. There's two options. One, sit next to this really old guy or Two sit next to an overly attractive female who looks about my age.

"Uhm hi...is this seat taken..?" I look at the girls face for an answer. She looks up at me. She has black hair with one blonde streak in the back. Green eyes and she's really pale.

"No. I guess you can sit here." The girl raises an eyebrow and moves her stuff to the right of her. I sit down slowly next to her. There's an awkward silence between us.

"So...what're you going to Australia for?" I ask her tilting my head to the side. I wait for an answer. She opens her mouth to say something.

"Well I'm going to a boarding school. Where I'm from you can't get a decent education. So my parents just sent me off. On my own. What about you?"

I think for a moment. Should I tell this girl my business? I mean we just met like a minute ago. But she told me hers so would that make me a bad person? For lying? Or being stuck up?

"Uhm hellloooo earth to Rebecca?" The girl waves a hand in my face back and forth.

"How do you know my name?" I ask her furrowing my eyebrows

"Well it says so right there on the side of your bag."

"Oh...yeah I guess. But I'm going to Australia to visit my dad. But since you know my name shouldn't I be able to know yours?"

The girl chuckles. Revealing deep dimples on the side of her face. She takes my hand and shakes it.

"My name is Allison."

I give Allison a warm smile. I dig in my bag and get my cellphone and turn on some music. I put my earbuds in. Moments later I feel a light tap on my shoulder. It's one of those aircraft ladies.

"I'm gonna ask you to turn off your Cellular Device. We don't want the connection interfering with the Airplanes radio and monitoring system." The woman gives me a fake smile. She stares at me until I turn my phone off. I stuff it in my purse.

"Thank you. And enjoy your flight" the woman leaves with a pat on my head.

"Uggh" I scoff. I look over at Allison who is in her own world staring out the window.

"Ladies and Gentlemen we are about to take off to our destination. So please turn off all cellphones and fasten your seat belts. Next stop Australia"

I look over at Allison who is shaking nervously. She quickly fastens her seatbelt and so do I. I guess she's nervous.

"There's no need to be nervous. I've ridden on a plane more than once. And I can't tell you. Once your in the air it's gonna feel like your flying." I tell Allison I wink at her and grab the top of her hand. She giggles. And puts her head down. As the plane finally makes it's way to the sky. Allison will not even open her eyes. When you look at Allison you'd think she's all tough and scary. But she's just like a little kid.

"Hey you can open your eyes now. The turbulence is over and we are in the sky." Allison opens one eye and then another. She leans on the side of the window and she attempts to go to sleep. Soon after an hour of doing nothing. I drift off in a peaceful sleep.

My eyes shoot open when I hear screaming and feel the plane shake wildly under my feet. I look over at Allison. There's tears running down her eyes and she's breathing heavily. Half the lights on the plane are off and those breathing things are down. From the ceiling.

"What's going on?" I ask Allison

"T-the p-planes c-crashing" she mumbles

"What? I can't hear you"

"OH MY GOD THE PLANES MOTHER FUCKING CRASHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I freeze. My whole world stops. Then it hits me. I'm gonna die. At age sixteen.

Leaving everyone. And everything around me. The plane jolts to the left bringing Allison and I in the isle. Then the plane jolts upward everything seems to go in slow motion. Allison hits the plane ceiling and her head crashes down on the plane seat. My body shifts strongly to the side of the window. I hear a crack. Finally the plane moves downward. I hear babies screaming. Women pleading and Men cursing. A coffee cart rolls toward me. I quickly doge out of the way, I run towards Allison and I flip her body over and listen for a heartbeat. She's still alive.

A woman comes toward me and hands me a parachute and quickly runs off. I'm stuck with the most heart wrenching decision. Who do I save, me? Or a girl I just met four hours ago. A little boy limps towards me with a teddy bear in his hand and a thumb in his mouth.

"Have you seen my mommy?" The little boy asks me, I look at him, I can tell he just woke up. I pull him in for a hug and he wraps his tiny arms around my neck. I start to cry silently. Allison slowly starts to regain consciousness the last thing I remember is a window breaking open and seeing things flying out. A laptop comes towards me and hits me in the face. My vision starts to turn into a blur I hear muffled screams of Allison and the little boy from earlier and then...blackout.

I shake my head. I grip the sand from under me with my hands. And let it fall through my fingers. I look around. Trees. Trees everywhere and water. I see something floating in the ocean I try to get up but my body is too weak I look down at my clothes. My shirt is completely ripped and my jeans are too. One of my sandals is missing and there's blood coming from my nose. No this can't be happening. I'm...I'm stranded.
