Milo's P.O.V.
"Finally, I'm done," I felt a smile form on my lips as I took a few steps back to admire the full view of the wall I been working on for the past three hours "It looks better than I thought," whispered to myself, pleased at the outcome.
Several glass shelves line a section of the wall holding variety of books, both magical and human origins. Crystals of different colors and sizes were spaced between them the books, and used as book stoppers. I took the time to make sure each had a perfect balance of books and crystals on the twelve shelves. It wasn't like I was some type of neat freak, just wanted it to be balance and very Zen.
But, my smile was short lived, vanishing as I realizes I spent three hours working on my remarkable shelves. I glance over my shoulder to see the other half of my room still had several boxes that needs to be unpack and sort through. The thought of having to take several more hour in my day to unpack the reminding boxes was not part of my plan. I wished I manage my morning better, I thought as I stare at the sea of boxes.
"You never know how much stuff you have till you have to pack and unpack it," I told myself, taking a deep breath before starting on unpacking the box nearest me. There wasn't a way out of doing it if I wanted my room to look more like my room by nightfall, and using magic wasn't something my mother would be please about "the heavens, give me strength."
My family and I just moved to the area of Hollow Crest two days ago, on the account of my father's new job. Come to think of it, I don't know what he does for a living, I guess I never really ask his since he never complain about his job. But, Hollow Crest seems like a quiet town, surrounded back acres of forest wildlife. Though, I personally haven't had the time to check the area out for myself, yet I'm hoping to do some sightseeing later this week. From what I been told by my father the town got its name by how the town forms a crescent shape, and can be seen from Crescent Peak. Something I look forward to seeing.
The sound of the doorbell's annoying chirps pull me out of my thoughts, you know that sound you ask yourself why they even made that type of sound for a house this size. I would of thought that they would made something little less annoying.
"We definitely need to changes that," mentally noting that on my never ending list of things I need to do. I continuing to unpack my things, basically ignore whoever at the door since everyone I knew live nowhere near this area, therefore no reason I should even answer it "why do I even have classwork from three years ago," I asked myself before setting it a blaze in flames.
"Milo, can you get the door?" my mother asks as she pass by my door, looking in to my room. I knew she just want to see how much work I done since this morning the last time check on me. She one the other hand was carrying a box labeled mom "my hands are full, go see who it is," she ordered me before continuing down the hall.
"I'm still unpacking" I replied in protest, as I levitated some pairs of my shoes into the air, and with one stroke of my hand, sent them flying into my closet "I'm doing this all by hand and trying to have this done before it gets dark."
"Now Milo" she demanded boldly, her tone much stern than before. Rolling my eyes, got up and made my way downstairs, knowing no good will come out of arguing with a witch even if it is my mother "thank you dear."
"I don't see why Nicole couldn't get it" I mumbled under my breath. Nicole is my cousin, from my father side, and been living with use since her father passed away four years ago.
"She's in the shower," my mom replied, in other words telling me she heard what I said.
If it wasn't for the fact that she is a witch, I would think she was just like my father, a lycan.
