"kids time for dinner!" Tom yelled up the stairs.
Jake kept kissing me, even though we both knew that his mom would come up sooner or later. She always did.
I pushed Jake away and looked at him. " Time for dinner." I noticed his expression and smiled.
"Okay." he said kissing me one more time before we headed down stairs.
"So kids, how are you enjoying your summer?" Kate asked. The rest of the table answering at random.
"Hey," Jake whispered in my ear. "How about tonight we go back to the dock?"
"Sounds like a plan," I smiled.
After dinner I went up to my room and put my bikini on. I put my shorts and sweatshirt on over it and walked back to Jake's room. We sat in there until everyone was asleep. Jake and I walked around the lake a little before going to the little dock. Jake stopped and put his hands on my waist. He kissed me and I put my hands on the sides of his face.
We started walking again and came around to the Murtaughs cabin. "Sarah?" Jake said as he saw her and Elliott on the dock. Sarah raced like no other to get a towel around her. Thank God she had her swim suit on. I honestly thought she didn't.
"Jake. What are you doing here?"
"I am on a walk with my girlfriend. Not on some dock with a guy I met when I was ten," Jake said. "Sarah go back to the cabin."
"No."
"Jake. Let's just go," I said, pulling him with all I had down the lake. We got to the dock and he sat down. I sat down next to him.
"I can't believe I just saw that."
"Just take your minds off of it," I said taking his face in my hands.
"Okay," He smiled, cupping my face in his hands. He kissed me quick a couple times. Playfully, like always. "Wanna go for a swim?" He asked.
I nodded and we stood up. I pulled off my shorts and he grabbed the hem of my sweatshirt, pulling it off quick and pushing me in. He pulled his shirt off and dove in after me.
"Jake!" I yelled once I got to the surface. I tried to catch my breath, but it was extremely hard in the freezing cold water. Jake surfaced and when he saw my face he bursted into a fit of giggles. "You are such a jerk!" I laughed along with him. He grabbed me under the water and pulled me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and rested my chin on his shoulder.
"You don't think they were doing anything bad do you?" Jake asked quickly.
I sighed and kept my position. "I guess you could ask her. Then again, she'd probably throw a baseball bat at you, call you a sick perv, and proceed to see the kid every night for the rest of the summer in spite of you. But she also might do all of those things without the questioning if she's doing things with a boy her age that she likes."
"Nobody does that! Come on what's so interesting about a relationship with a boy like that. He's not even good looking and I just think she should rethink the whole thing. That's what I think." He said this and I floated away from him. Leaning against the dock, I smirked at him. "What?"
"May I remind you that, I have a relationship with a very good looking guy and our six months is coming up in less than a week." I stated promptly. I got out of the water and sat on the dock. Jake swam to me and rested him arms on my knees, putting all of his weight on me.
"Is he really that good looking? I mean I totally thought that I had a chance. But you are right my six months is coming up with this one girl as well," He sighed.
"Oh really? Do I know her because I think you know the guy I'm talking about. Around five foot eight. Junior in high school. He was in our math class last year. Family of like fourteen if I did the math right." I smiled as Jake got out of the water and sat next to me.
"Twelve plus two? Yeah I think you got the math right," Jake smirked, leaning in and kissing me softly. "Oh wait, Nora's married to Bud, and I guess they're having a kid. So is that like sixteen?"
"Yeah. It really just hit you that you're going to be and uncle didn't it?"
"I'm only like sixteen. How is that possible."
"Ugh, I'm in love with an idiot," I said, pushing him back into the water.

Jake and I ran into the cabin and stopped dead at his Tom, Kate, Charlie, and Sarah.
"And where do you two think you're coming from?" Tom asked as I let go of Jake's hand. Sarah gave Jake a smirk and I let out a sigh, licking my lips in frustration.
"We just went for a walk,"Jake said calmly.
"A walk. A walk? Jake it is 3 in the morning. Sarah ran into our room because she had no idea where you two could have been," Tom said as his voice got a little louder with every word.
"But Sarah saw us on the shore line," I said istantly.
Everyone stopped and looked at me. Then they turned and looked at Sarah. Sarah turned bright red and sputtered some words before Tom said to her, "Go to your room. Your mother will have a talk with you later."
Sarah left and Kate soon after. Tom and Charlie stood there looking at us.
"Wait, what are you doing up?" Jake asked Charlie quickly. Trying to buy sometime for the both of us,
Charlie turned bright red and turned his gaze away from his fathers. "I was just outside, sitting by the water," which actually translated into, I was with Anne.
"Charlie, go upstairs." Tom said and so he went leaving the three of us.
"Now tell me where you two have been," Tom said leaning on the table by the front door. "Was it romantic? Did you two have lots of fun?"
"Dad, come on. We were just trying to have some time to ourselves. And if you're going to blame anyone, blame me. It wasn't her idea," Jake said quickly.
"No one is in trouble. But I do want to know something. Why was Sarah down there? Was she with Eliott?" Tom questioned, quickly forgetting about the two of us.
"Ah, yeah. That girl isn't going to take a stroll in the middle of the night, that's for sure."
Disappointment fell over Toms face and he stood up.
"Go to bed kids," Tom said walking up the stairs. "In your own rooms."
Jake and I laughed as we climbed the stair. He walked me to my room and kissed me at the door. I got ready for bed, quickly taking a shower and passing out once I hit the sheets.
