The school year went by so quickly that it was already summer vacation. Students from different year levels had their own vacation plans...including Jenny Faye. Unknowingly, prior to the school closing, Mr.and Mrs. Rodriguez already made reservations to go to London for the entire period.

"Mommy, how could you not tell me about this?!" Jenny Faye, a bit pissed about the situation blurted out. "I have made plans of my own for the summer."

"Well, you have been working so hard with your academics; we thought we'd surprise you." her mom, Kate, responded; still enthusiastic about the plans.

"I was surprised, alright..." Jenny Faye said with a defeated tone. She knew her parents only meant well but thinking about leaving Tommy behind even for a brief moment only saddens her. This is going to be the first summer that they won't be together!

IN a week's time, they will be leaving for London, so both families decided to have dinner. While both their parents were busy discussing, Jenny Faye and Tommy were unusually quiet. Jenny Faye was just pushing the food around her plate; Tommy on the other hand was trying to keep calm.

"You done eating? Wanna check out the pool area?" Jenny Faye said after a long, uncomfortable silence between them.

"Yeah, sure." Tommy replied.

After several minutes of walking, they were able to reach their destination. Tommy chose to broke the awkward silence.

"So you're leaving?" he started.

"Yeah. I-I didn't know...I--" Jenny Faye seemed to pick all the wrong words. For the very first time, she didn't know how to start a conversation with Tommy.

"Don't worry, I'm cool with it. By the way, don't forget to bring me something when you get back, okay?" Tommy said as if it's not a big deal.

"Y-You sure?!" Jenny Faye asked back without blinking to ascertain that she wasn't hearing him wrong.

"Yeah. It'll just be for the summer anyways, right? I mean, there's too much to do here, you might not even cross my mind." he said and made a follow up remark of 'kidding!!!' when Jenny Faye's face fell because of disappointment.

"Okay, fine..." Jenny Faye couldn't understand why but the 'joke' pinched her heart. She tried to shrug it off and just settled with the fact that he was cool with her leaving. The two decided to go back to the table after sometime.

WHEN it was about to leave, Jenny Faye made the last phone call to Tommy. It was a lengthy conversation...from reminders, to threats, to boisterous laughter...it didn't seem to end. Jenny Faye made sure that everything was light.

"Better behave while I'm gone or I'll wring your nasty neck when I get back!" Jenny Faye said.

"I might get bored...besides a little 'action' won't hurt." Tommy replied naughtily.

"Just try and you'll get what you deserve!" she mockingly threatened him some more but Tommy didn't seem to be moved even for just a tiny bit.

"Bastard!" Jenny Faye said with resignation.

Tommy made sure that she won't end up pissed so he rebounded with a statement that would reassure her. "We'll it's gonna be a whole month of uninterrupted basketball, Dota and hours of movie marathon. Happy?!"

"Fine...but don't ever forget to PM me, or...better yet, we'll do Facetime. I want you to see how much of London I have taken in...haha!"

"FINAL CALL FOR BOARDING, Philippine Airlines flight PR0720 bound for London-Heathrow. All passengers are requested to board immediately."

"Oopps! There goes the last call. I guess it's ciao for now." Jenny Faye said when she heard of the final reminder.

"A'yt then. You take care and please send Uncle Angus and Auntie Kate my regards. Talk to you soon...bye!" a click was heard after she hung up, then comes the busy tone.

Tommy felt empty for the first time. Now what will he do for the entire month...alone?!
