What seemed as an unfortunate meeting at first became something Tommy (and probably Alice) would look forward to each time. They started going out more often now, and as always, they'd end up hanging out in a cafe'. Their relationship became deeper, richer and perhaps a little bit sweeter as time goes on. Without realizing it, Tommy was starting to become more and more detached to Jenny Faye. That night, when he went home after his first meet up with Alice, Tommy felt a bit guilty for not being able to follow up with Jenny Faye. He apologized and just made an alibi. Something he knows Jenny Faye won't buy anyway.
While inside a famous coffee shop, Tommy and Alice talked about anything under the sun. This time, they're much more comfortable with each other.
"So, tell me, do have a girlfriend? And if none, have you ever had one? Alice threw the questions one after the other.
"Well, let's just put it this way, if girls have 'NBSB', I guess my case would be 'NGSB'." Tommy said matter-of-fact.
Alice couldn't help but bring her hands over her mouth in astonishment. A guy this handsome has never had a girlfriend ever since! She couldn't help but ask then if he was gay. "Now, are you?!" she muttered mockingly.
"No! want proof? I'm gonna kiss you 'til you go ballistic, want that?" Tommy dared Alice when she didn't seem to stop the first time he warned her. "The next time you call me gay, mark my word, I'm gonna kiss you, french!"
Scared that Tommy might end up acting on it, she decided not to continue with the mocking. "Okay, I won't call you GA--" and just before she was able to complete the sentence, Tommy's lips landed on hers. She tried to fight back at first, but his kiss felt so sweet; not too pushy but instead it was something that will make someone light-headed. T'was so good she hoped it won't last. She almost protested when they snapped back to reality. She felt a slight rush of blood up her cheeks. She felt kind of embarrassed. To her, it felt as if she savored each moment and didn't even attempt to push Tommy back. To Tommy though, t'was his first time kissing a girl. It felt so good he wanted to do it over and over again. He shook his head and tried to stop where his thoughts were heading. It was too early for that, he thought.
"Sorry about that. I didn't mean to--" Tommy sincerely apologized for misbehaving.
"I guess, we just got carried away. I won't deny it though. I liked kissing you." Alice knew it was too soon but in a month's time, her friendship with Tommy has gotten more personal, a little bit under boyfriend-girlfriend but it was like, what they were missing was just the 'label'.
Tommy thought likewise. For him, a month's time of knowing Alice is enough to say that he liked her too. That he could fall for her...That they can be more than friends. With careful thought, Tommy popped the magic words. "Will you be my girl, Alice?"
Alice wasn't too surprised to hear it from Tommy. There's no denying that they have this certain kind of chemistry; something that needs no further introduction.
Without blinking, Alice answered in her sweetest possible voice : "Yes Tommy, I'd love to be your girlfriend."
The two seemed to have won the jackpot after finally being 'official'. To them, this will be the start of a new journey. Jenny Faye was now totally out of the picture.
In a day or so, she will have the greatest shock of her life!
