the tenth reply

synopsis of tenth letter: yeri faints in the hallway and is brought to the nurse. people said that she did it for attention, but it is not true. yeri wakes up to see a crying hansol next to her and assumes that he brought her here. she considers the possibility whether or not jungkook had carried her to the nurse, but denies it.

dear yeri,

i was walking to lunch when i saw a crowd in one of the hallways. i come closer to take a closer look and see that it was you, lying on the floor, motionless.

i immediately pushed my way through the crowd and barked at everyone to clear the way.

i picked you up but staggered, not because you were heavy.

you were too light.

i started cursing at myself for not seeing the signs of your severe weight loss, despite all the times i looked at you. 

i move my way through the crowd, this time, holding you bridal-style. people began to whisper about this and i told everyone to fuck off.

you fluttered your eyes open and looked at face, emotionless.

"jungkook?"

i had tried not to let my tears come and i just sped up my pace. you closed your eyes again and went completely limp in my arms. alarmed, i ran to the nurse.

when i got there, hansol was right behind me as i laid you down onto the bed. the nurse came and was shocked at how pale you were, then asked us how you ended up like this.

i told her how you fainted and as she quickly made arrangements, hansol yelled at me,

"what the hell is wrong with you?! first, you act like you don't care about yeri, now you're saving her?! you should make up your goddamn mind!"

i had flinched at every sentence hansol says and he says something that drove the point home.

"do you even love yeri?! even if you don't, she still does! she still does..."

i was stunned. how? why? what? 

the nurse had told us to be quiet and that one of us had to leave the office. i had no intention to leave your side, but realized that i wasn't worthy of that anymore. so i left the nurses's office, leaving hansol behind with you.

if i just knew that you still loved me, would everything be different now?

you still loved me...
