Now's the time. A few hours from now, magsisimula na ang UAAP MBT Championships.  Kabadong kabado na kami dahil natalo sila sa first game subalit nakabawi naman sa second game. Pero kailangan talaga nilang ipanalo 'tong game na'to in order for them to be the back to back champs.

"And now, the UAAP Men's basketball championship will start!" Sabi nung commentator.

Unang naka shoot ang ADMU, pero naka bawi naman kaagad ang La Salle. Sunod sunod na tres ang pumasok sa ADMU. Naging mainit ang labanan sa pagitan ng dalawang koponan.

"Cci, c'mon..." I whispered. Tumingin sa'kin si achi Des.

"Trust in him, Lottie. We all know they can win this." She held my hand. With full hope, I smiled and continued to focus on the game.

Nang nag third quarter na, hindi kona napigilan ang mga luha ko. Ang layo na ng score sa Ateneo kontra sa La Salle. Tumayo na kadalasan sa mga tao dito sa Araneta.

We are all chanting, "ANIMO LA SALLE!" to keep them fighting. Pero nang dumating na ang fourth quarter, ADMU decided to kill the time. Nakuha ni Andrei ang bola at inihagis nalang ito. Sa hindi inaasahan, na shoot ito and gave La Salle 3 points. But the score is 88-86

"And your new champions are Ateneo Blue Eagles!" There were confettis falling everywhere, containing the colors blue and white.

Talo ang La Salle.

I quickly went to their locker room. Shockingly, the room was so quiet. Kadalasan kasi, napaka ingay ng room na 'to. Pero ngayon, it's so silent that you can even hear a pin drop.

Nilapitan ko si Ricci. I was finding Ahia pero he texted me na nauna na syang umuwi kasama si achi Desiree. Umuwi na rin sina mommy at daddy, kasama silang dalawa.

"Cci..." I sat beside him. He looked at me, eyes still red from crying over the loss of DLSU.

"I'm sorry." Binaon nya ang kanyang mukha sa leeg ko. Shit, ito yung kahinaan ko eh, yung makita siyang umiiyak.

"No,no,no. Cci, wag na umiyak, please. I assure you, makakabawi ang GA sa next season. Nandyan na sila tito Paolo at tita Abi sa labas, inaantay na tayo."

I helped him get up para makalabas na sa Araneta. We were bombarded with fans and paparazzi. Mabuti nalang, andyan yung mga guards para tulungan kaming maka labas.

Pagdating namin sa bandang likod, andun sila tita, tito, kuya Prince at ang mga kapatid ni Ricci.

Tita Abi immediately hugged Ricci. They were all crying. Di ko na rin mapigilang umiyak dahil sa scenery na nakikita ko ngayon. Family oriented talaga and mga Rivero, and that's one of things why I admire them.

Maraming camera ang nakapalibot sa'min kaya nagpasya nalang ako na pumasok muna sa van na sasakyan namin pauwi.

While waiting for them, I went on Twitter. Di ko napigilan luha ko, iyak pa rin ako ng iyak. There were tweets na nagpapasalamat sa GA for fighting until the end. Meron ding tweets na galing sa mga haters ng GA na dahil lang daw nanalo sa game 2 dahil sa referee. Nag tweet nalang ako para magpasalamat sa mga fans ng GA.

After sometime, sumunod na ang mga Rivero sa van. I wiped of my tears and smiled at them.

"Thank you for being here, Charlotte. We really appreciate your efforts. Lalo na nung nagkasakit itong si Ricci, nabalitaan naming ikaw yung nag-alaga sa kanya habang wala kami. Thank you talaga." Tita Abi thanked me, teary-eyed.

I smiled and replied, "It's nothing, tita. But, you're always welcome."

Tumabi si Ricci sa'kin and rested his head on my shoulder. Nakaupo kami sa second seat ng van.

I heard him sniffed. He's still crying and it breaks my heart.

"It's okay, Cci. We're here for you."

"Thank you for being here always, Cha." I smiled and kissed his forehead.
