The Woodened Dark

In the early hours of the morning,

The birds did chirp - only warnings

Of the caution to be had.

For in the distance they sensed wolves,

Preying in the woodened dark.

In the late hours of the night,

The wolves did howl - only warnings

Of the caution to be had.

For in the distance they sensed birds,

Spinning tales in the woodened dark.
