it was always them. the trio. second best to harry, ron and hermione. but to the three of them, they were the sun, the stars and the moon. just dean, seamus and apple.

While at school the trio seemed happy enough but it was what happened behind closed doors that really mattered.
When Apple recieved her Hogwarts letter when she was eleven, she knew that this would be her fresh start she had been wishing for for eleven years.
She didn't expect that it would just be the start of more bullying.
She had sat alone on the train. She had been alone for the first couple of weeks at Hogwarts and she didn't mind it. She liked the quiet. It was a change from the taunting and teasing she had experienced at school.
But that all changed when Draco Malfoy discovered she was muggleborn. He seemed to hate her more than anyone.
He didn't pick on her the way he picked on Hermione- the teasing that was so clearly hiding a disgraceful crush.
Draco picked on Apple with pure hatred. The racial slurs quickly changed to blood slurs, with Draco's clique shouting about her dirty blood and why she deserved to die across the halls.
Even the Gryffindors wouldn't stand up for her.
A couple of weeks later, Dean and Seamus saw it happening and Dean marched up to Draco and punched him in the nose, while Seamus hexed him.
That was the day that Apple made her first friends.
But while the public bullying had stopped, Draco still had the nerve to pull Apple aside occasionally to hiss blood slurs and threats into her ear.

A short while after Seamus' death, the two decided that the temporary distraction wasn't enough to drown out Seamus' screams the two of them heard at night.
They used all their saving to buy a one room apartment in a muggle town, and soon moved in together.
Each night Dean would caress Apple's skin while Apple kissed him over and over again.
They would merge into one, becoming one and together they would drown out the screams, the pain and the nightmares for that night.
Sometimes, Apple would see Draco at the grocery store and he would glare at her as she mouthed several dirty words at him.
