(Autumn opens the door and enters. Sweetie's raven/turtle appears in the door)

Autumn: Goodway, Katie, Everest! Where is everybody? (sees dress and cake) Oh!

Fairies: Surprise, surprise!

Katie: Happy birthday!

Autumn: Oh you darlings, this is the happiest day of my life. Everything's so wonderful, just wait till you meet him.

Katie: Him?

Everest: Autumn!

Goodway: You've met some stranger?

Autumn: Oh he's not a stranger, we've met before.

Goodway: You have?

Everest: Where?

Autumn: Once upon a dream! (starts singing, and dances with Katie) I know you I walked with you Once upon a dream ...

Katie: She's in love.

Everest: Oh no.

Goodway: This is terrible!

Autumn: (startled) Why? After all, I am sixteen.

Goodway: It isn't that, dear.

Katie: You're already betrothed.

Autumn: Betrothed?

Everest: Since the day you were born.

Katie: To prince Chase, dear.

Autumn: But that's impossible! How could I marry a prince, I'd have to be ...

Everest: A princess.

Katie: And you are dear!

Goodway: Princess Skye. Tonight, we're taking you back to your father, King Marshall.

(The raven/turtle flies off)

Autumn: But, but I can't! He's coming here tonight, I promised to meet him.

Goodway: I'm sorry, child, but you must never see that young man again.

Autumn: Oh, no, no! I can't believe it. No, no!

(Autumn runs upward to her room)

Everest: And we thought she'd be so happy.

(Autumn lies on her bed, crying)
