now, there are only a few dozen witches left, the sad remnants of a once powerful kingdom. scared and hunted, most witches stay in hiding.

the witches in this book are very much inspired by how sarah j. maas portrays them in her throne of glass series; they are blood-thirsty, dangerous, and beautiful creatures. however, the plot remains my own, and this book is not a part of her universe. the poetry of amanda lovelace from her book "the witch doesn't burn this one" is often used in this book. i do not own any of her poetry.
