Once again, we were in Willow's room, only I was pacing this time.
"What did I do? How did I do it? Why did they say my eyes were gold? What is wrong with me? Why didn't you stop me? Why aren't you freaking out? Why can't I shut up? Why-" Willow forced her hand over my mouth and shook her head.
"Calm down." Her eyes glowed the original soft orange. Suddenly, I felt the worries ease away. She releases my mouth and mutters an illegible chant, keeping her eyes on mine. Finally, she breaks contact. "Better?"
I examine myself warily. "Y-yes... how did you...?"
"You aren't the only one with secrets, Jackson." She smiled and sat down on her bed. "Do you remember my twelfth birthday?" I nodded. "Well, that bull was the Taurus. It chose me, for some reason."
I was completely clueless. "Taurus? Chose you?"
She gaped at me. "So you have no idea of the power you hold? Or even that you had that power?"
I shook my head, dumbstruck. She pursed her lips. "Well, I'm the Taurus warrior. You must be the Gemini, based on your glo-" I cut her off with an astonished gasp.
"I get it! It's those zodiac things! I'm a Gemini, which means I'm super talkative!" I glanced at her. "So why do I have powers? What do they even have to do with my sign?"
She thought about it for a moment. "Well, since you're the Gemini, you most likely have powers corresponding to doubles. Like duplication or something. Maybe even influencing people with speech. I'm not sure though, so don't get your hopes up."
I nodded thoughtfully. We sat there, discussing the possible powers we could have until we heard a knock on the door. Willow went to answer it, so I naturally followed. She opened it to reveal a police officer standing serenely on the porch.
"Hello, kids. You're going to have to come with me to the station." He had a clipped, no-nonsense voice. "We're investigating some suspicious activity, and unfortunately, you're both suspects."
