I'm honestly surprised
I've made it this far,
Cause I usually have a past
Of quitting before it could scar.
And it's weirder to think
That I have made it this far
Without mentioning anything
About Christmas
Or the holidays.
And I guess the reason why
Is because I'm a little resistant this holiday season.
Having not been in the greatest head space
And watching time as it seems to tick,
Going by so quick,
I'm not celebrating this time of year
Like I had in the past.
In my defense,
The holidays have never felt like holidays.
Years always go by so fast to me
That it never feels like
It should be December,
But even more so
This year.
I just can't believe
It's almost 2018
When it feels like a few months ago
We were regretting 2016.
For everyone I hope
The new year is great
And that you all have
An amazing holiday season
Or just end of year.
