Hunter's Pov
"He's missing?" I asked my mom who was sitting next to my dad parallel from me.
"We thought probably he's just at a friend's or god knows where. But you know that tracker we installed in all of your phones?" I nodded at her.
"We cant track it. It's as if he's disappeared off the face of the earth," she said sadly seeming to be in deep thought.
"We also tried the tracking devices we put in both of you. The results were, the same," my dad said squeezing my mom's hand, her eyes fixed on the ground. Our parents needed to protect us and in the event one of us did get kidnapped they'd be able to find us. But not even them anticipated this.
My hand immediately going to the back of my neck and squeezing it intensely. A bad habit that I had acquired over the years when I was stressed or thinking really hard.
My mind filled with countless possibilities but not one seemed to make sense. I didn't realize I sat there in a daze for so long until my mother placed her had on my shoulder causing me to jump. My parents were never great with words but their eyes always held the emotion their voices could not convey. An idea suddenly popped into my head.
"Let's start with the most basic thing to do. Let's make posters and tell the police," I said.
"That's a wonderful idea," my mom smiled sadly.
"We'll get through this, together and we will find him," I said firmly to both of them. They hugged me tightly.
"We start tomorrow and Hunter let's keep this to our selves. Remember what happened to your uncle Robert," my dad said taking my mother with him to bed and leaving me behind on the couch to my thoughts.
Uncle Robert was one of the best uncles ever. He'd buy Xavier and I anything we wanted that was until one day they found him chopped up inside his home. I never did find out what really happened to Uncle Robert.
The next day we went straight to the police station to file a report for Xavier. The place was littered with paper, giving it a run down feeling. The walls were blue with a ceiling fan spinning slowly at the centre.
"Good day sir, we're here to file a report for a missing person, I'm Mr Jake Revoir .This is my wife Marsha Revoir and my son Hunter Revoir "my dad said gesturing to us.
"I'm Sargeant Lewis, pleased to meet you," he said gesturing for us to have a seat.
"Tell me a bit more about the case," he said his voice leaked with curiosity.
" Our son's name is Xavier Revoir. We discovered he was missing yesterday around 9 pm when we decided to look for him with the tracking device but nothing came up," my dad said.
"What makes you think that he's not at a friend's house or maybe the tracking device got damaged?" He asked.
"He's been acting a bit strange for these past few weeks but we've always been able to find him. We rely more on the inbody tracking device because he's been smashing all of his possessions. Also, the tracking device cannot be destroyed or blocked that easily. We would know since we made it," my mom answered.
"Do you have documents to show for this tracking device being implanted in your son," he said, his face stoic and lacking emotions.
"We do but unfortunately we didn't bring it with us today," my mom sighed.
"Bring in those documents or you can be seriously fined for such a crime," he said his voice full of authority.
"My son is missing paper work can be brought in later. I need to find my son," my mom said losing her nerve.
"M'am I'm going to have to ask you to calm down and unfortunately 72hours hasn't passed and therefore he can't be deemed a missing person. When this time passes come back to the station with your papers and we can work on this case. Until then there's nothing I can do I'm afraid," he said monotone.
My mom was about to retaliate something but my dad prevented her from doing so.
Standing up from his seat he said," Thank you officer for your time today." We followed in pursuit as he left.
"Dad can't we get some off your men to do something," I asked. Being a scientist meant that he had links with all sorts if people that could possibly help us.
"I'll see what I can do," he said running his hand through his slightly ruffled hair.
Finally finding our car, we got in abs drove home. My mother was silent ever since we left the station. It was futile to complain about what the officer said was true but when a family member is missing you do anything to bring them back.
Pulling up to out house about 10 minutes later, my mom hurriedly left the car. She opened the door and sound of her feet could be heard echoing with every footstep she took.
"Your mother will be fine, I'll talk to her but in the meantime start main those posters," he said following after my mom.
I sighed and made my way to my bedroom, getting my laptop and sitting on my bed. It was the that my ring tone "The edge" by Tonight Alive sounding through the speakers. I forgot my phone at home this morning with all the stuff that's happening.
The name "Zander" lit up on my screen. Answered the phone, a loud voice boomed in my ears.
"Dude that party was sick," he said.
"You know it," I said laughing.
"Don't think I didn't see you and Audrey dancing, it seems like my awesome dancing moves have rubbed off on you," he said. I could almost imagine the smug look on his face.
" Doing fish on the hook doesn't count," I said.
"No one can beat this king. Also there's a party next week at the Jordans, you coming?" he asked.
" Once there's food you find me," I said ignoring my gut which said not to.
"I'll text you the address later," he said hanging up.
I began working on the poster, I finished it after an hour and a half. I put a picture of him, our home phone number. It may sound like a little but the actual lage was decorated and its layer suited the contents.
My parents didn't leave there room that day, I didn't hear a squeak out of them.
Jake Revoir's Pov (Dad)
"Honey you knew thus was going to happen," I said to my wide who sat silently on out bed.
"That doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt any less Jake," she yelled at me her eyes just to the brim with tears.
"You know we couldn't protect him from this," I said embracing her.
"But it hurts," she said crying into my chest.
" We need to be strong for Hunter and prepare him for his life ahead. If we dwell in the past we remain shadows all we'll see is the darkness always obstructed by the light. I know we can make it through this we just need to believe in him," I said to her soothingly.
"You and your poetic self," she said smiling.
" That's what I'm here for," I said pecking her.
"Let's just stay in bed and relax all day, don't worry about anything, not even work and we'll be on leave for a while so just relax.
Later that night the snores of Jake and Martha echoed the room. The nightmares of their son Hunter causes an endless sleepless night
