Pamela's Dilema

Chapter 5- stress free weekend.

So hey,this is chapter 5,hope you enjoy it.

The girls sat quietly again until it was time for her tutoring lesson. Pamela bid her friends bye before making her way to the library. She arrived first so she sat down. She was in the midst of pulling her notes out of her bag when Kyle appeared out of no-where and sat down beside her.

As Kyle fixed his notes, Pamela said,"hey, I saw what happened at the field, you okay? "

Kyle nodded,"Yeah....sorry if I embarrassed you or anything."

"It's fine, no big deal," said Pamela with a shake of her head.

"Great!  And now, I just have to thank whoever sent the voice message."

Pamela froze,"You don't know who sent the message?"

Kyle shrugged'" no, it was registered to a private number. I tried calling it but the phone went dead."

"Oh."

"Why ? Do you know who sent it?"

Pamela shook her head,"Nope, no idea."

Kyle nodded, as if he were satisfied with her answer. They went ahead with their lesson, afterwards they packed their things and walked out together.

"So you going home and studying?" Kyle asked as a small smile graced his face.

Pamela grinned,"No, I promised Nella and Quin a study free weekend."

"So how is this study free weekend going to fly?" asked Kyle.

Pamela frowned,"Fly? What do you mean?"

Kyle laughed," Sorry I meant, how is it going to go? What are you all doing this weekend?"

"We are spending the whole weekend at Nella's house. Watching movies and going on a trip."

"To where?"

By then Pamela and Kyle had gone out of the school and were walking towards the carpark. Waiting there was Nella, Quin, Sean, Artemis , Johnny and Sam. There was also some other students too, hanging around or on their way home.

"My secret," replied Pamela as they approached their friends.

"What secret?" asked Sean as they were now within hearing-range. He was sitting on this car hood with an arm around Quin's shoulder, Quin sat beside Nella. Sam sat on  the hood Kyle's car whilst Johnny and Artemis stood beside him.

"None of your business Sean," replied Pamela as she went over to stand next to Quin.

"Okay," said Sean as he shrugged and turned to Nella,"Nella, tell your boyfriend what's the secret? "

Nella frowned, " How am I suppose to tell you Pam's secret when even I don't even know which secret she's talking about?

Sam chuckled lightly,"How many serects do you have Pamela? "

"A girl's heart is an ocean of secrets so....yeah a lot," Pamela replied with a shrug as Quin snickered.

Sean nodded solemly,"You're right, too many secrets. Pamela, which secret is this?"

Pamela laughed,"My lips are sealed. "

Kyle nodded,"It's the one about their trip this weekend."

"KYLE!" exclaimed Pamela as Kyle shrugged innocently.

"Oh that's secret," said Quin in an all knowing voice.

"Thank you Kyle, now Nella dear? Talk," urged Sean as Nella rolled her eyes.

"Kyle, how could you?!" asked Pamela as Artemis replied, "Boys will be boys."

"Come on Nella tell us," said Johnny as he helped Sean.

"You know ,Nella's never gonna talk," said Sam.

"What about you Quin?" asked Kyle. Quin raised her hands in defence, "I am staying out of this conversation."

"Come one Nella," said Sean as he continued to urge her,"I'll be your boyfriend."

Nella laughed,"You already are my boyfriend."

Everyone else laughed. Pamela was content in the moment, happy to see oall her friends happy. Even Kyle, who wasn't even a friend of hers. After the laughter calmed down about, Sam asked again about the trip.

Pamela shook her head and chuckled, "Sorry Sam, can't say. It's a surprise from Nella's mother. We'll tell you about it on Monday.

All the boys nodded as Nella asked asked Artemis what her plans for the weekend were.

" We're going shopping for mum's new wedding dress on Saturday and a family reunion party on Sunday at Silver Star Park."

" Hey, is Johnny gonna be invited?"asked Sean with a smirk.

Johnny nodded with an embarrassed smile as Artemis laughed and kissed him on his cheek,"Yep, everyone's been dying to meet him. Oh and Pamela, mum says you're invited but you must wear the outfit she bought for you last Thursday."

Kyle frowned in confusion as Pamela respectfully declined, "Thanks Arty but I'll be on that surprise trip on Sunday. Tell mum I am so sorry but I will be there for the wedding  dinner rehearsal."

Artemis nodded with a smile,"For you Pam?  Anything."

"Thanks."

"Well girls? We have to hit the road," said Nella as she hugged Sean and jumped off his car,"Arty, you want to ride with us?"

Artemis nodded and hugged Johnny before running over to Quin who had already walked over to her car. Pamela waved to all the boys and jogged after the girls.

"Is Pamela Arty's cousin?" asked Kyle once the girls were gone.

Sean shook his head as Johnny replied,"No, Pamela is just considered family."

"Really? Why?"

"Come on Kyle, lets get going. I've got a movie and a bowel of popcorn with my name on it," said Sam as he got off Kyle's car and walked over to ride shot gun. By then Dean and Johnny had gotten in Sean's car since Johnny's was in the shop.

As Kyle got on and drove away from the school, he couldn't help but wonder how Pamela was so close to Artemis and why everyone liked her. She couldn't be that amazing? Could she?

Over the weekend, Pamela had fun with her friends. They spent their Saturday just hanging out and on Sunday, they all took a trip to Stanford University. The place Quin had dreamt of going  to. Nella's mum brought them over to see, Quin's dream university.

The troop was originally for for Quin but Nella and Pamela were just glad to be there for Quin so she could get used to the place.

Of course, when Monday came and school started, Quin couldn't stop talking about Stanford. That just only made Nella and Pamela talk about their own choices of university.
