Breaking Walls with the Beta {Book 1}

                                                                    Chapter-first meeting

I did. 

I trusted him whole-heartedly. 

Gavin hand shot out to reach for a long tree branch. Stopping the both of us right before we hit the ground. He let me go,  lightly placing me down.

"See that wasn't that bad," he teased from the branch his body swinging.

"Hmmpff." I stomped like a child to the drive way. As I reached my car I realized I didn't have my keys to my baby Porsche. 

A cough was sounded behind me. Turning I noticed Gavin next to his Jeep. You have got to be kidding me!

"Hop in." he called as he got In and started the car. I moved to the edge jumping up to the highest step and swinging myself in.

We arrived at Pancake restaurant, the place a bustle with many human and werewolf alike families.  We got into one of the many bright blue leather  booths around the center. The young hostess told us that our  waitress would be right with us.

Gavin and I stared at each other as we looked around at all the elders and screaming children.We started to talk , learning things we never knew about each other.

"So what's your favorite dessert?"

"Mint chocolate chip!Sport?"

"Rugby."

"Rugby? Why Rugby, Gavin I pegged you as a football guy."

"Luna , is the famous Luna you stereotyping? Do I look that jockey too you?" He starts to flex his muscles and grunts. "Just because I play, Doesn't mean it's my favorite."

We picked our food deciding on the blueberry pancake combos. I moved to his side of the booth. Playing with his hair, as I colored into the kids menu I snagged.. A familiar figure caught my eye. I growled at her, she was wearing a Uniform.

Anika faces twisted from her serving smile. Her eyes narrowed in on Me, then her eyes caught a Gavin's and widen just an inch. She showed a suitable submission pose. There were humans around, we still had to act like them.

Her smile was cruel and fake. It was sicking me. Her High pitched voice spoke,"Do you know what you want?" her pen poised to write down our order.

"Yes. Can we have the blueberry combo and cameral frappachino?"

She snickered at me, at I glared daggers into her head. Gavin coughed, but it was one of 'Shut-the-hell-up-befoRe-I-kill-you-and-whoever-your-sleep-with-bitch.' At least I wish it was. 

She scurried away to get our order. I gave a smile to Gavin.

"Hey want to hear when I first met you?"

"Wasn't that when I Met Sellia?"i ask dumbfounded.

"No, Before that."

"Before that?"

"Yea, you were about five or six. When your hair was still blondish. You use to play by your mothers Adonis plants. I came with my father to make the first treaty between the two packs. We were all told to explore. I was looking for some adventure, and well..." He scratched his head running through his short hair giving me a goofy smile.

"You found me. You ran head straight into me. Growling at me like your wolf would come out, like an angry pup. You were basically straddling me. You asked questions, who was I? Where did I come from? How did you find me? It's turns out I found what you called your own secret garden. That not even the pack knew about. You were told to stay away from the Alpha from my pack. So I told you anything you asked. You let me up after a while,playing with the red petals of the flowers. We played fighting for a while, tackling and scratching. Until a newly transformed pup, came running at you. He was headed straight towards you. I didn't know came over me, but I snapped. My first shift, was in my instinct was to protect you. I growled, I was a bit smaller than the other pup. I growled at him as he tried to get past me to you. You seemed to laugh at both of us. Much to my surprise the pup shifted back, to reveal the kid I had met a handful of times the Alpha's son. I didn't really get why he wanted you. I didn't know you were the Beta's daughter and had certain duties to uphold with Tom till he picked his Beta. I just growled at him. His hands went up in a motion for you to come. You got about maybe two, three steps before I snapped at you. You laughed! You Luna laughed in the face of danger. "

At this point of the story I laughed at his choice of words, I didn't really remember most of what he said.The way he smiled as he remembered to little detail got my heart in a tissue. 

"Then you patted, and said an I quote on quote 'You are so cute, puppy. But I have to go now. We can play later!' With your cute smile you walked off to join Tom as I shifted back. I might of stayed there for hours, and you never came back. I had to leave, and as I was walking off the old border, I saw you look around. A smile that you held disappeared. I never saw the sweet little blonde girl again, Until Sellia met You with your Red brown hair causing mischief between the packs. You gave Me, ME!  Your status to stop some petty rival and Luna I couldn't love you more for that. From then on, I respected what you did for whatever reason you did it for. My mischievous mate."

I smiled, kissing him lightly on his lips. Our food was dropped off somewhere within his story, so we started to eat before it got cold.
