I stare down the dark dimly lit street. Nothing moves, no noises. Nothing. I'm all alone. My feet crush all the broken glass that litters the road. Street lights are cracked and flickering. Shadows are everywhere following me. It's like a nightmare, a horror movie. The only comfort that I have is my teddy bear. The one i got for my birthday from mummy and daddy when i was one. I clutch the fluffy bear to my chest as I continue to walk along the road. Cats and dogs are hiding in boxes and trash cans as I walk by. I don't want to be alone. A soft breeze picks up and blows gently against my flustered, tear stained face. My bare feet scrape against the jagged rock cutting through the flesh and pouring out blood. I leave a trail of blood as I continue to walk. All the houses are abandoned. I can't comprehend any of it. It all turns my head in. My grip loosens on my teddy and scrapes against the ground, getting all bloody and covered in dirt. I want to find mummy and daddy. I can't live by myself. I want my family back. I don't understand. Well, I'm only 6. My breath hitches as I see a pile down the street. I make my tiny legs run even though my feet are screaming to stop. I don't know what it is, but I still run. I ignore everything that my mummy told me about not talking to strangers. I get there gasping for air. I see a person standing and pat them on the shoulder. It's my teenager brother, Max.

"Help." He croaks then collapses on the ground. I see red stuff coming from his neck and then I see it. My parents are lying there in front of him with more of that red stuff all over them. What's going on. More tears fall down my face and I scream. I let go of my teddy. I hug my mummy, but she isn't responding to my touch. I don't know what to do.
