Meeting Him ~4~

Leah POV

Maia and I found a really cute café that served lunch, so we decided to go there. I ordered a side salad and a sandwitch, while Maia ordered the same thing. While we were waiting for our food, Maia started chatting about how excited she was for our first day of college. Before I got to put my opinion in, a new waiter came to our table.

"Hello, my name is Zayn and I will be your new waiter today!" He informed us that our other waiter went on break. The new waiter "Zayn" was really cute; I couldn't help but smile and stare. He looked over to me as I shamelessly stared at him; he smiled, winked at me (or so I thought), and then left. I guess I was blushing because Maia was giving me a "Ohhh la la" look, by raising her eyebrows up and down. I honestly hated when she teased me like this. It wasn't like I would date him or anything, that would be too silly considering the fact that he was way too gorgeous to be with a girl like me. I mean, he was good looking and all, but let's be real here.

"I'm sorry, but am I missing something here Leah?" Maia suddenly knocked me out of my thoughts.

"Wh-what? Oh, it's just you... I thought the waiter had come back."

"You like him don't you Lee?" I instantly felt as if she was inside my head or something, seeing every little thought I had about him.

"Pshht! Of course not! What would make you think such a thing!?" Wow, I really needed to learn how to lie, I'm pathetic.

As we were leaving, Zayn grabbed my arm. As I turned around, Maia said she would wait for me outside.

"Hey..." Zayn looked kinda nervous, he was so cute.

"Hey, I'm Leah." I say with a toothy grin; he smiles back.

"Leah..." He thought aloud,"I like that name," he said trying to act like a bad boy, but breaking his act by laughing. "So Leah, I was wondering if you aren't busy tonight, maybe you'd like to go to dinner... um, with me."

"Sure wh-" I started.

"Great! Pick you up at 7," he said quickly and ran off to wait another table. I smiled and started walking towards the door when Zayn backed up to me and gave me a peck on the cheek. Within that moment, I felt as if every ounce of blood in my body had flushed to my cheeks.

"What was that all about?" Maia asked suspiciously when I met her back at the car.

"What? Oh- nothing. Zayn just asked me out for dinner tonight." It felt so weird saying his name out loud, but it felt so... perfect!!
