Stumbling as an attempt to walk, Shay had her arm around my shoulder completely wasted. "Any tips I could gain regarding how to ride a bike? Or more importantly, where your house is?" I say as I try to make out a word she's saying. "You don't have to know how to do it, you just have to know how to stay on it." Shay slurred her words giggling. Maybe she is right, maybe I do not need to know how, she wiggled her keys and I snatched them since she was about to throw them off the cliff. I asked for an address, but she just told me to drive her back to my place. I did not know how to reply to that, but since she won't reveal her sacred place, I guess I have to reveal mine.
Five minutes passed and we're still in place. I'm scared we'll stay the night next to the cliff, cold, alone, and hungry with a wasted woman. A gorgeous woman. A beautiful woman. A funny woman. A woman I should probably ask how the hell am I supposed to ride the motorcycle before she passes out. "Shay, how am I supposed to let it move?" I ask nervously. "You twist the handle with your right hand you butthead." She says laying her head on my back. Right. Of course I'd seem like an idiot asking that. Maybe I should know how after all. I twist it and it moved! Good. Okay. This isn't so bad.
Twenty minutes later I'm riding while I have the statue of liberty behind me. Literally, Shay extended her hands away while cursing New York. We're not even in New York.
It was dark but thank god the signs were clear enough for me to find my way back to the city. The ride was hectic, she kept singing and giggling on her own and it sort of made me laugh the entire time. When we finally arrived I nudged her and she went crazy. It took me a while until I finally managed to put her in the guest room. I asked if she needed anything but she shook her head and pulled me down on the bed next to her. My face was flushed. She would not let me go, so I waited until she fell asleep when I moved her hand away gently and took the couch.
Next morning
Shay's Pov:
I woke up because of the irritating sunlight that would not leave me alone. That's weird, I always close the curtains before I go to sleep. It took me a moment to take in all my surroundings and I discovered that the bed I was sleeping on was in fact not mine. My hands quickly moved around my body to check if my clothes were still intact. A huge sigh of relief escaped my mouth when I realized that I was still clothed.I looked around the green colored room and I saw the cutest clock shaped like pink panther. Under it to the left was a computer counter and on the right was a wooden modern closet I picked a large buttoned shirt from later on. I looked in the mirror and noticed the nest I call my hair. Stretching out I thought:"Let's take a tour on the popo's house." I mumbled Maroon 5 songs as my legs stood up driven by hunger and curiosity.
As I made my way outside the room I saw a wool blanket on a couch across the bed I was recently on and smiled to myself. I must had been a handful. Walking around I saw lots of colored photo frames of people I have never seen before, well I guess you could say I met Ryker's mom too soon. I came across two other bedrooms, and two bathrooms until I reached my destination. I cooked some eggs and boiled water to have my morning coffee. Now you're probably wondering why I still haven't left even when there is no apparent sign of Ryker. Well, let me give you some insight. People who get involved with one night stands usually strut their walk of shame in the middle of the night when they get what they want, which is sex, correct? Okay, let's just say I still did not get what I want, so that leaves me tied up in this apartment until then. In case you were wondering, no I do not want sex.
I sat down on the blue plastic chair and sipped my coffee holding a newspaper I found next to the doorstep. You could say I made myself at home. I looked at the headline and a smile was plastered on my face.
