You and Hoseok have been friends ever since you were babies. He's been there for you through everything. You love him for that, but you really wish he'd love himself just as much as you did.
He never tells you but you know he's been going through a hard time especially now that he's famous. The boys even noticed and it started taking a toll on his health causing you to worry even more about him.
You were going to visit Hobi at the dorm just to chill with him since you've been really busy the past few weeks. When you arrived all the boys were sitting in the living room with sad faces. "Hi everyone, what's going on?" You asked looking worried. All the boys looked at each other until Suga stood up walking towards you. "It's Hobi he's been crying non-stop." Suga said with a frown on his face. "Why didn't you guys call me earlier I would've been here." You say trying to rush towards Hobi's room, but Suga quickly grabbed your arm shaking his head. "Y/N I think you should sit down we all have something to tell you that Hobi should've said a long time ago." Suga said leading you to the couch. You sat there confused. 'What's going on?' You wondered. "You want to know the reason Hobi's health has been declining?" Namjoon asked after a few minutes of silence. "Of course why wouldn't I he's my best friend." You say. "The reason is because Hobi is suffering from depression." To say you were shocked was an understatement. He was your best friend how could you not have noticed. You felt as if you've failed him. He's been there for you for everything even if it wasn't something big Hobi was always by you side and you couldn't even recognize you're friend was suffering from depression.
You started crying silently. "How long?" You asked quietly. "A year maybe longer." Jungkook said tears brimming his eyes. "How could I be so oblivious, so stupid?" You ask aloud crying loudly. Everyone just sat there with their heads low trying to stifle their cries. You get up going up the stairs towards Hobi's room. When you make it to his room you knock on his door. "Come in." He says. When you walked in you see him looking so weak and pale. Your emotions got the best of you and you broke down.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." You kept repeating to J-Hope. "For what y/n? What's wrong?" He asked getting out of bed. "W-why didn't you tell me?" You asked looking up at Hoseok's worried expression. "Tell you what? I'm confused y/n." He said. "That you're suffering from depression. "You whispered, but you knew J-Hope heard you when he gasped in shock. "I-I-I..." "Hoseok I could've helped you get through this." You say cutting him off walking towards him. He looked down feeling guilty you never called him Hoseok unless you were upset. "I didn't want to bother you with my problems since you have your own to deal with." He said. "I don't want to hear that excuse I'm your best friend why would it be a bother?" You asked. You were beyond confused on why he kept something serious like this from you. He stood there looking at you and your emotions were running too high "Fine Hoseok I'll see you tomorrow." You say turning to leave, but you were stopped by his next words.
"I love you y/n." You turned around shock written all over your face. "I love you more than a best friend I've felt this way ever since we were younger." He said releasing a long sigh." I fell into a depression because I couldn't tell you my true feelings and all of the hate was overwhelming for me I couldn't handle it." You were speechless this is new you never knew any of this and now that it's coming to light you didn't know how to react. "I love you too Hoseok." You say quietly after awhile. Your words surprised J-Hope he was so afraid that his feelings would ruin the friendship, but now he couldn't be any happier. He walked over to you embracing you in a tight hug. You felt his tears rapidly hit your shoulder. "Y/n I'm so happy to hear that." You nodded your head. "Hobi I just want you to remember that no matter what I'll always be there."
Hoseok's health became better as time went on. He eventually asked you to be his girlfriend after he got into a better state of mind.
