Hermione slowly opened the door. Everybody was asleep.

'Okay now what do I do?' she thought to herself 'If I go to sleep and they find me here in the morning what will they think? well I suppose it's better if they find me asleep rather then awake and staring at all of them. They probably won't think I'm a murderer if I'm asleep.'

She tip toed silently over to an unoccupied bed. There were some school pajamas and some robes for the next day along with a note written in curly handwriting.

'Come back to my office before you go to breakfast tomorrow. Don't tell anybody your name and come alone.

-Professor Dumbledore

P.S. I really love Bertie botts every flavoured beans

She put on the pajamas and crawled under the sheets. She stared up at the ceiling and thought about harry and Ron and whether or not they were worried about her. She wondered if she would ever get back to that time around her present age or if they would never find a way to send her back and the next time she would see her friends was when she was thirty and they were still young children and they would think that she was just some random old person. She pondered unanswerable questions like this for what seemed like hours until she finally fell into a disturbed sleep.

The next morning she woke up feeling unrested. She jumped and sat up as she opened her eyes and realized that three girls were all staring down at her.

One girl had long straight red hair and green eyes, just like Harry's eyes. She stared down at hermione with a questioning look.

The second had light brown, wavy hair, a hard mouth and cold blue eyes.

The third and last also had blue eyes but they had a kind of a sparkle. More joyous and carefree. She had long blonde hair and a smile on her face.

"Who on earth are you and what are you doing in our dormitory?" the brunette demanded.

"Ummmm..." hermione faltered. Professor Dumbledore had told her not to tell anybody who she was. She jumped up and grabbed the uniform that had fallen to the floor "Well I'm a transfer to Hogwarts and I was told to come to this dormitory for the night and now I'm supposed to go see Professor Dumbledore." She lied quickly, leaving out her name. "Would you all mind looking away as I get changed?" They all obliged and left to get changed as well. She put on her robes as quickly as she could then tried to slip past the girls but the brunette caught her arm. She spun Hermione around to face the other girls.

"Hi! I'm Xena!" The blonde one exclaimed excitedly. "And she's Lily and she's Amelia!" She pointed first at the red head and then at the brunette. "Are you hungry? We're going down for some breakfast if you'd like to join us!"

"Xena, calm down." Lily said to her. "And she said she had to go see the headmaster." She then turned back to hermione "You said you were a transfer? Do you know how to get to the headmasters office or would you like us to show you?"

"No that's okay. I was there yesterday and I'm sure I can find my way back to his office. If I have any troubles I'll just ask the paintings."

Hermione left hurriedly grabbing her bag as she departed. She ran down the steps only to find James, Sirius, Remus and Peter waiting for her in the common room.

"Where are you off to in such a hurry?" James questioned.

"If you must know I'm going to see professor Dumbledore and I really must be going. People are getting up and my new roommates will be down any second now and they'll be asking me a ton of questions. Questions that I don't want to answer at the moment. Also please don't tell anybody my name. Dumbledore doesn't want anybody to know for some reason."

Hermione pushed passed the group of boys and hurried towards the portrait hole. She kept her head down as she walked down the corridors and hoped nobody would stop her. Luckily she got to the gargoyle without behind stopped and quizzed by any teachers. She checked the note again and noted the last line 'P.S. I really love bertie botts every flavoured beans'

"Bertie botts every flavoured beans" she stated to the gargoyle.

She hopped onto the staircase as it rose towards the headmasters office.

She knocked on the door and heard a voice from inside call to her "Come in." The doors opened and she stepped into the office for the second time within the past 24 hours.

"Please sit down and make yourself comfortable." Professor Dumbledore said kindly. He had the familiar twinkle in his eyes as he pushed towards her a plate and a cup. "State what you wish to eat for breakfast and it will appear."

She only just realized exactly how hungry she was as she had not eaten anything since yesterday morning. "A couple of scones, some sausages, an egg and a cup of tea please." Her plate filled with food and her cup filled with hot tea. She grabbed her fork and dug in.

"Now I know that you have classes in about an hour but we have a few problems. Now the rules of time travel are quite clear. When you go back in time you are not supposed to let anybody see you. However seeing as we have no way to get you back to your time any time soon I feel obliged to let you go to classes and sit your exams when the time comes. But we must set some limits. First you must never tell anybody anything about the future. Second you will need a background story. Lastly you will need some new school books. Do you have any of your books still in your bag?"

"Yessir. I have my history of magic, arithmancy and transfiguration books. My divination book was on the table when I was brought here and I'm afraid I wasn't holding onto it." She waited expectantly for an answer.

"I will send for some new books after you go to your classes and I will get them to you within a week. You may borrow some spare books for each class. Just get the books as you go to each class. Have you said anything to any students about your past at all? They must have questioned you a little this morning."

"Well I did mention this morning to the girls in my dormitory that I was a transfer to Hogwarts because I didn't know what else to say." Hermione explained to him.

"Very well. How do you feel about being a transfer from beauxbatons academy of magic because your parents got a job working for the ministry here?"

"Umm I suppose that's fine. I don't really know what beauxbatons is like so I don't know how to explain it if anybody asks."

"Just say lots of ice sculptures and tall ceilings. Make it up as you go.... Oh my look at the time! You ought to be heading to class. Off you go!"

Hermione thanked the headmaster as she stood up and stepped onto the staircase once more. Heading towards the transfiguration classroom. She only had ten minutes and she didn't want to be late on her 'first day.'

Once again I hoped everyone liked this. PLEASE comment. I really want to know what I can improve on. Thanks for reading!
