We all were walking back to Jenny's in silence. I decided to say something so it wasn't such an awkward silence.
'So wha kinda party is this?' I asked curiously.
'Its my cousins party about ten minutes away from here. Its his 16th so he's celebrating big time. His parents are loaded.' Mike replied.
'Sounds cool.' I said happily.
'Just wondering...how old are you all? We have only known each other a few days and I know barely anything about you guys.' I asked smiling.
'I'm 16. He's almost 17.' Mike said pointing at Lee.' What about you?'
'I'm 17 in three weeks...' I replied
'Awesome! We are gonna throw you a parteeeey!' Jenny said bouncing around like a kangaroo.
We all laughed and eventually got to the house. Jenny unlocked the door and let us all in.
'I'm rading your fridge!' Mike said as he walked in the door and to the kitchen.
Jenny rolled her eyes. I now know that Mike has a habit of making himself at home and making himself FAT. Lee went into the kitchen to grab a drink and then Jenny and I went to her room. She told me to.sit in her chair so she could do my hair for the party. She was straightening it. When the straightener got hot, she started doing my hair. Just as she started, the boys walked in. Just as they were walking in, I could see how different in size and looks they were.
Mike was the same height as me. He had short, brown hair with streaks of red going through and brown eyes. His face was covered in freckles and he had one ear pierced. Lee on the other hand, was a lot taller than Mike. He had dark brown hair with light brown streaks going through his hair and he had deep blue eyes. His face was clear; no spots, no freckles. Perfect. His eyebrow was pierced and his left ear had two piercings. He was just amazing. NOT that I like him or anything!
They sat on the bed and watched Jenny straighten my hair. Lee found Jenny's phone and started going through her music.
'So you listen to Metallica but you don't have ACDC?' Lee said shaking his head. 'tut tut tut' he teased.
'Shut up! I can't fit anymore music on my phone. Hey will you play NickelBack? I'm in the mood to listen to them' Jenny giggled.
Lee rolled his eyes and played the music. Jenny was singing along to the music and she was actually a good singer. Mike started clapping along and she blushed. Mike laughed and grabbed the phone. He searched through the music and played Green Day. Oh my god! She has Green Day! Now it was my turn to sing along. I know I'm a terrible singer but what the hell! They are my friends and won't care!
I was singing along to the music and then Mike and Lee started clapping. I didn't blush. I couldn't care less. The song.ended and went on to my favourite song East Jesus Nowhere. I couldn't help but sing every part of the song. I loved it! When the song ended, Mike and Lee clapped and I bowed in my chair laughing.
'Omg Kay! Your a brilliant singer!' Jenny said giggling.
'No I'm not! I just like singing along!'
'Brilliantly' Lee added.
'Guys! You've been making up stuff since the mall yesterday so stop!!' I half yelled half laughed.
They looked at each other and giggled.
'Kara, your beautiful and your voice is awesome.' Mike said laughing.
Well that time I blushed. I'm beautiful? I have an awesome voice? wow. Ever since I met these people all they've done is make me feel great about myself. Is that what friends are meant to do? This is awesome. I love these people!
