The three of us ran outside and to the car.
'I call shotgun!' I shouted.
The two of them sighed and jumped in the back seats. I cheered as I jumped in the front. Lee had a really nice car in my opinion. It was a silver jeep. Very shiny. When I got in the car, I studied Lee's outfit. He was wearing dark blue jeans with a blue shirt that had writing on it but I couldn't read it because he was sitting down. He was wearing a black hoody with white stripes down the sleeves over his shirt. He smelt good too...
'So is everyone ready to go?' Lee asked.
'Yep let's go!' Mike replied buckling his belt in.
The journey was quiet for the first few minutes so I put on the radio. There wasn't much on so I turned it off. Radio these days is so boring. The songs never make any sense. I looked behind me to see Jenny and Mike whispering and giggling. Oh god. I decided to get my mind off of them and talk to Lee.
'So do you know this guy?' I asked
'Oh yea kinda. I met him once at Mike's place. He seems cool. Apparently he always throws ragin parties.'
'Cool. You meeting anyone here?'
'Em nope. Not that I'm planning of. Just gonna hang with you and the gang.
'Awesome. I'm a bit nervous coming here. I've never been to a party before...' I said lowering my voice.
'Don't worry. I'll keep you safe.' Lee replied with a wink.
I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. I stared at everything but nothing at the same time. I was imagining the party, thinking about everything that could possibly happen. I suddenly felt a pain in my stomach. Ugh. This is going to be a fun night! Nothing bad could happen! No one ever talks to you anyway!
'We're here!' Lee said tapping me on the shoulder, interrupting my thoughts.
I shook my head and looked out the front window. One look at the house and I knew that this was going to be insane.
There were lights hung over the house and someone had tp'd the entire garden. There was rubbish all over the lawn and cans of beer every where. The smell of cigarettes and alcohol fumed the air. There was a pool around the side, filled with girls in bikini's and boys grinding against them. Music was beating loudly across the entire area. I found myself tapping my foot to the beat.
'Lets go inside!' Mike yelled and walked towards the house.
Inside the house was worse than the pool. People were making out along the walls, guys jugging beer in the middle of the room and some people outside the back door smoking. There were doors closed and some open. I was guessing what was going on in the ones that were closed. Ew..
I looked around at my small group of friends. They were smiling and looking around the room. Suddenly Mike grabbed Jenny's hand and started dancing with her. They were so cute. I looked at Lee who was looking at me already. He reached for my hand, looking at me as if asking if it was ok. I nodded and took his hand. He pulled me to where Mike and Jenny were and started dancing with me. This felt great. We were laughing and jumping and moving. This was so fun. Until...
'Hey goth girl!' Lauren snickered making me turn around.
What the heck is she doing her? I was having so much fun. I stood silently staring at her. Her friends came over and crowded around me, singling me out from the crowd and Lee.
'What are you doing here?' She sneered at me.
'I'm dancing obviously.' I snapped.
'Well it seems everything you do is always terrible. Your making a fool of yourself being here you know. That face of yours shouldn't be out in public.'
Ouch. That really hurt. I mean hurt hurt. I shook my head and walked away from her, looking for the bathroom. I finally found it and stumbled in. I locked the door and sat in the corner, digging my head into my knees.
'Hello?? You've been in there a while! Other people use the bathroom too!' Someone yelled banging on the door. I stood up and looked in the mirror, cleaning my now messed up making up. I tried to make it look acceptable. I had concealer in my bag and I put a bit under my eyes so it didn't look like I was crying. I unlocked the door and went back to where I was to look for my friends. I found Lee eventually.
'Where have you been!?' He asked worried, looking me up and down. 'Are you ok? You look upset!'
'I'm fine.' I lied and put on a fake smile.
He studied my facial expression and cupped my cheek in his hand.
'Follow me.' He said grabbing my wrist.
He dragged me out a side door and past the pull. We went down a mini path to a shed and behind it. No one was here. Thank goodness. No one to insult me anymore. Lee held my hand to get my attention. I looked at him and he looked back with a worried expression over his face.
'What happened?' He asked quietly.
'Nothing really.' I choked.
He put his arm around me and pulled me into him for a hug.
'You can tell me. I know something is wrong.' He said worried.
'Just someone annoying me. No big deal.' I replied smiling. Of course it was fake.
But he saw right through me. He hugged me tighter and then let go. He looked at me and cupped my cheek in his hand. This was nice. Just silence with a good friend.
'Are you sure?' He asked worried again.
ugh...
'Ok I'm lying. I'm not ok. This girl keeps making fun of me and calling me names and stuff and I don't like it. Its upsetting me. I really don't like her at all and...' That's all I could say before I started to cry. He wrapped one arm around my waist and the other around my back. He sat me down and hugged me.
'Shhh Shhh. Its ok! I'm here for you.' He said reassuringly.
I stopped crying after a while and let go of him. He looked at me again.
'I'm so sorry. I shouldn't be crying at a party.' I apologized.
'Don't be sorry. Its not your fault some people can't be normal and just be nice.'
I started sobbing again and he helped me up.
'Lets go back to the party and have some fun, eh? I'll stay by your side, ok?' He said smiling.
'Ok' I choked getting a tissue out of my bag and cleaning my eyes.
We walked back to the party to see a huge crowd in a circle. We walked over and heard people chanting 'spin! spin! spin! This game wasn't for me. Kissing strangers. Nuh uh. I spotted Jenny and Mike sitting in the circle. Lee and I joined them.
'Hey Jenny!'
'Hey!'
'Spin the bottle ugh hope it doesn't land on me!' I laughed.
'You don't like makin ou?' Jenny asked.
'I dunno...'
'Omg! You've never done it before!' Jenny giggled excitedly.
I rolled my eyes and stood up. So what? I don't see what's so great about kissing anyway. I walked outside and sat on my own, leaning on the wall beside the door. I sat there, thinking. I don't want to go back into that circle. If it lands on me, I'm screwed. I have no idea how to kiss and i want it to be with someone special. Not some random douch.
