Can I Have A Hint?

This story is about about a male Cheshire Cat reader Remnant. Requested by Taylororton123. I hope you enjoy. Now onto the insani- I mean read definitely read.

'What is it like? To just shut down. For the weight of life to be so much that you just buckle. What would it take to bring back the crushed? What would you give if it meant getting back what was taken?'

My eyes opened to a cloudless sky. I laid on a barren path going as far as the eye could see in both directions. I felt the winds on my face as it blew past and swayed the fields of grass that lay on either side of me. Their color changed as they moved back and forth. The light giving them different hues and shades. I looked around me enjoying the peace I felt I hadn't had in a long time. My serene moment was interrupted though by the click of a tongue. Looking up I found a tree where there wasn't one before. In it sat a black and electric blue cat. His eyes were large and looked me over examining me. I looked right back at him as if in challenge.

Y/n:Who are you?

I asked looking at a cat. He floated down in front of me. His black and electric blue striped body twirled in the air. Sometimes the black parts of his body would disappear and reappear. Other times it would be the blue parts fading away from and reintegrating with reality. I wasn't really surprised by this though. As I felt in the back of my mind that things could be so much stranger.

???:I'm me.

Y/n:Obviously.

???:But I'm also you.

I hesitated with my mouth open at his reply. 'Why the round about answer?' I looked back at the cat to find only his head was present. I ignored that as I asked my next question.

Y/n:Who isn't me?

???:Well at the moment you aren't you. Except for that everyone is you.

Y/n:Could you stop being so cryptic and just help me?

???:I could help me but I don't know about you.

Y/n:You're driving me insane.

???:Well you'll fit right in! We're all a little mad here and as you can see. I'm not all here myself.

He said this as he smiled and showed off his lack of body parts.

Y/n:Well I'd like to leave here. Wherever here is.

???:It's with you. Yet without you. But only because you want it to.

Y/n:What?

???:I'm growing a bit tired. Maybe I'll stop by a friend's for tea.

Y/n:Wait! Could you at least give me some advice?

???:I can advise me but I'm not so sure about you.

Internally I panicked as he seemed to be the only entity for miles. 'Wait He said he was me. He also said that he can help himself. That means that he can help me. Right?'

Y/n:But you said you're me. So you can advise me because I'm you.

???:True. In that case I'll tell you the rules. You can choose where they apply.

Y/n:Ok. What have you got for me?

???:To you I am a foe and ally. I come and visit at the worst of times. I keep you safe. I make your hands sweat, and your heart grow cold. I visit the weak often; but seldom the bold.
