Star Wars VIII : The Last Jedi - Expectations

Okay, the next Star Wars movie is out in a few days, and you probably know that I love this saga. I'm not the greatest Star Wars fan, I don't know everything about it. I've not known the movies at their beginnings, I don't know perfectly the universe but I've watched the movies and I loved it. So, I don't know if you guys like Star Wars, but I'mma tell you my opinion and expectations for this eighth movie, as an simple viewer.

First, I have actually liked episode 7. It had problems, with the unoriginal context and with the numerous similarities with episode 4, which reminded me the previous movies so much that I was not even surprised, it was sometimes even boring (Starkiller is a huge joke -_-). However, I thought then that the characters were very interesting and I loved them. I disagree with many people about this. For me, Kylo Ren is one of the best characters of the saga (I could be killed for having said that XD). The Force Awakens gave the the foundations of a new trilogy. It might not have been the best Star Wars movie (even though I love it) but it gave to this third trilogy the potentiality to be awesome.

Sooo. I put my expectations for episode 8 very high because of what I heard, and I'm afraid I could be disappointed. ^^' But I have the feeling that it will be awesome. First the movie seems to be darker than the others, which I think is good. The director of this episode will also make the new trilogy. Disney must have loved The last Jedi... Hopefully. According to the trailers, this episode will be full of feelings and interactions between the characters (Rey/Luke, Kylo Ren/Snoke, but also what happened with Kylo Ren and Luke, and what will happen with Rey and Kylo). I think (and hope) that this episode will be emotional (rip Leia) and will use at best these talented actors. The trailers tease us about some revelations, everything that happened before. How did Kylo joined Snoke and betrayed Luke? Who is Snoke? What are Rey's origins? I WANNA KNOW T_T
The people who worked on the movie said that Ryan Johnson came up with an original and unexpected plot, and this is what Star Wars needs. Take risks, be original or else it has no chance to become a masterpiece.

That's all. I wanted to write a chapter because I'm so excited and I wanted to share it!! Star Wars is out in a few days, and I'll obviously watch it the first day. Do you think I should write a review? (Anyway I'll do it if the movie is worth it ^^)

May the Force be with you. 🖖 (oh wait)
