Rachel's POV
"So... what are you going to do about her?" I asked Jacob. Jacob has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and I've always had this massive crush on him but I'm never going to admit it even if it kills me, I didn't see him as a brother like I used to... I blame it all on puberty and stupid teenage hormones. I really like where we are now and I don't want anything to ruin us not even my stupid feelings. I won't let him know how badly it hurts me to see him with other girls. My best friend was a player and that I can vouch for. This is his first serious relationship and I'm not going to ruin it. He might have found his first love even if she was a snobbish bitch. As long as she makes him happy I'll deal with her the only way in know how... ignoring her.
"I don't know Rach... I have to convince her that nothing is going on between us... I really like her and she's the first serious relationship I've ever had and I don't want to ruin it" Jacob said. Ruin it... Ha! She did that twice already. He didn't know how those words hurt me like hell; it's been really hard hiding this from him (not his girlfriend being a cheat but my feelings for him), he reads me like a book. I just can't risk us. Barbara... Jacob's girlfriend, she's the captain of the varsity cheerleaders, the Wolves squad, she's what every girl dreams of being, her slender figure 8, curves in the right places, walked like a model on the runway but her attitude is worse than my Aunt Margaret's during Thanksgiving... my Aunt claims it's the worst celebration of the year and she HATES Jacob... ironic right... the life Barbie doll and my Aunt Margaret I mean... SHIT! I zoned out again and he noticed
"I'm sorry, I was just... thinking" my reply sounded more like a question but I guess he didn't notice. He's doing this lately... hardly noticing anything about me and being distant, last night brought us closer and ruined his relationship with her.
FLASHBACK
That bimbo is giving Jacob a hard time and he's getting frustrated, I know I would have a long time ago; I just can't deal with her anymore she makes him hurt and I can't stand that he's in love with her. She cheated on him twice already but the dumbass still sticks with her, I myself I'm getting pretty frustrated. I walk over to his room to see tears in his eyes, I go over to his house whenever I feel like it, it's like my second home, his mom loves me and she's like a second mother to me, my dad and his were great business partners. I can't help but feel like breaking down when I see him feeling this way. He still hasn't noticed me in his room yet, he must be deep in thought.
"Can you believe that the bitch doesn't even know his favorite song" I thought as I go over to his stereo to play it. It's a very slow song and fits his mood, I was about to leave his room still unnoticed, (when Jacob's in thought nothing can get him out of it) then I felt arms drape around my waist and lay me on a bed close to a hard chest.
"Jacob, are you alright?" I said sounding more worried than I wanted to sound
"I'm fine Rach" he said. I could feel tears as he nuzzled close to my neck
"Jacob, who do you think you are lying to? I know you better than that to know that you're feeling miserable" I said as I changed positions and cuddled around him. He's really down because of his relationship with her; Jacob is emotional depending on the situation.
"What are you doing with a girl like that?" I say unconsciously but he doesn't reply which makes me sigh. Jacob's arms are around me and he's shirtless, he has the most amazing abs that would put Taylor Lautner to shame, he wasn't too muscled but okay for a 17 year old, only a little better than most guys in school which gets girls drooling. When we go to the beach which is almost every weekend girls ogle at his body which makes him smirk and me scoff at their extremely animalistic behavior. If you want the definition of vain you have Jacob. I voice out all the thoughts I have which makes him laugh. I'm really glad that I make him feel this way. I was starting to get really comfortable when the loud bang of the door against the wall made me jump. Standing there was no other than the life Barbie doll herself... Barbara. Again... Jacob, you have terrible taste.
