Chapter six- the night of nights

Brian ran as fast as his legs could carry him to find Meredith and Jamie arguing with Jamie.

"JAMIE JUST STOP IT!" Meredith's voice carried it's self through the room.

"YOU THINK I CHOSE THIS?! YOU THINK THAT THIS IS WHAT I WANT?!"

"No no! Mere- I just- "

"Don't call me that!"

Brin cut in just in time. "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Guys? What's up?" Brian asked quite calmly.

Meredith and Jamie estranged glares.

"She thinks I'm the murderer!" They said in unison.

Brian stood there amazed at what his best friends had just told him, By now Dylan, Joe and Lauren were peeking around the corner to see what was happening.

"Wait? You both think-?" Brian now seemed to horrified to talk, not knowing who to trust.

"Please Brian, it wasn't me!" Jamie pleaded.

"OH MY GOD, JAMIE! why can't you just shut your mouth?!"

'Wonder what's up with Meredith?' Lauren thought. 'She's been acting so strange?'

"IVE HAD ENOUGH!" Before anyone realised, Mere had reached out into a draw and pulled out a stake knife.

Jamie and Brian slowly backed away, moving closer together.

"Oh my go-" Lauren was cut off by Joes hand covering her mouth, "shhhh!" He said as he signals to follow Dylan. They walked quietly up stairs and waited at the top of the stair case hoping that Brian and Jamie would walk away alive.

Meanwhile down stairs-

"Meredith, what are you doing?" Brian asked, reaching out for Jamie's hand.

Meredith sighed in anger, "fine! I can't hide anymore."

She lowered her hand with the knife as she started to explain.

"It was me all along, remember the riddle? To catch the rouge you must be sweet, RIDDLE me this at B@man's Blake." She paused waiting for someone to comment.

Brian was the first to speak

"Riddle? Of corse! You were the riddler! In Holy Musical B@man!" Meredith nodded sadly as she continued.

"Find the hay, find the mask, find the candy, pease at last."

"But candy?" Jamie asked still in horror, as was Brian.

"Are you trying to pin it on me?! I played candy!" Jamie shouted at a tiered and hopeless Meredith.

"No! We never even wanted to involve you!"

"Wait, we?" Brian said as he edged closer to Meredith with Jamie.

"Stay back." Meredith warned

Jamie knew mere like anyone, she would never want anyone to stay away!

"Come on Meredith, it's us. Remember all the fun times?" Jamie asked putting a shoulder around her old friend.

"I said, STAY BACK!!!" Before any type of warning, Meredith had gripped her knife and stabbed Jamie right in the middle. She fell to the floor, her limp body bleeding and her last words, "why?"

"Oh my god" Brian moaned as he walked backwards towards the stairs. "Why would you do this Meredith?"

Her knife in her hand dripping with the blood of her best friend, Meredith advanced on Brian.

"I didn't want this Brian, I dint want any of this, but I have to."

"Mere you don't have to do something if you don't want to-"

"No! You don't understand. I was getting of much hate for playing the role of Hermione in AVPSY. Everyone was hating me, fans, just everyone! But then we-"

Meredith stopped as if she was going to say something that would ruin her whole life.

"I never hated you mere," Brian said as he stroked her face.

"I can't live with this though!"

Taken back Brian did the only thing he could think of.

"You know, you can leave all on this behind, all you need to do is give me the knife."

(NOTE- hi guys sorry the updates have been so long and that this is such a short chapter, but I've had some trouble with my internet and have lots of school work to catch up on.
