Up in the sky among sparse clouds Ace was smiling, with his arms outstretched as if to feel the flouting, white, blobs of water. He was relieved to find Sak, and to be with him again.
After flying around for a time Ace got Sak to start flying towards the Moby Dick. Golden wings seemed to merge with the sunset sky, as the two approached the docks. When they were within a few feet of the large ship Sak began to descend. Closer and closer the two got to the ground before landing.
Getting off Sak's back Ace waved towards the rest of the crew. It was starting to get late and Ace knew he'd have to return, but his mind drifted to Sak who was too big and dangerous to accompany the crew further on their adventures. He had spent his day out looking for his friend all to say goodbye.
Ace and the rest of the crew would wait to say goodbye until the next day though.
Pirates don't leave friends on a sad note though, so the crew decided to throw a grand party. The night was spent on songs, drinks, and of course playing around with their favorite feathered behemoth. Eventually all the men passed out, drunk, from having a good time.
When the sun rose back into the sky everyone was still asleep. It was not until around midday that the pirates had gathered themselves up well enough to leave.
Ace, Thatch, and Marco were particularly sad to go. Their minds kept drifting to Sak and what would happen once the left. The three were unsure if Sak would even try to follow them out in the open water, but as it happened when they had to wish a bon-vayage the latter didn't look like he wanted to leave anyway.
Rubbing his head against Ace the three men pet the bird goodbye.
"We'll be back Sak. We can have a race, so get those wings strong if you wanna win" Marco said.
"Yeah! Let's just see who's got stronger fire next time".
Thatch hugged the bird. "Be happy I named you instead of those idiots".
