A teenage girl named Alex Marie just moved into a town named Rosewood with her family. Her family is considered a middle class family, so they could afford some things. Alex is the only child to her beloved mother and father so she was pretty spoiled as a kid. Oh how Alex yearned for that baby brother she would never get to have. Alex's mother, Milinda, and her father, Mark, tried and tried but got bad results. You see, after Alex was born, her mother was not able to have children anymore. No medical reason really, it's just that if you're a wizard and you give birth to a baby destined for great things, the magic goddess will not grant you another child.

Since Alex just moved to Rosewood, she has no friends. All her friends are at her hometown LanceVille. She promised to text them all the time but that's a little hard to do; Considering the fact that she lost her phone durng the move...

After Alex got settled in her new home, she decided that school would be the best place to find new friends. As this thought crossed her mind, she was actually pretty delighted that she had moved. After all, who doesn't like new friends?
