To New Beginnings

      As Alex and her mom drove to the drop off zone in the parking lot of her new school, Alex got pretty nervous. Her mom noticed this and reassured her that everything will be fine.

      "Don't worry sweetie, going to a new school is like receiving new beginnings. Although you will miss the old school, i'm sure this school is just as good. Maybe even better! Now, have a wonderful day today. I'll be back to pick you up later like around 3:30." said Alex's mom.

      Alex did nothing but nod and wave as her mom drove away. Alex walked into her new school, Rosewood High School, and spotted a janitor. She practically ran to him and asked for directions to the counselors office so she can pick up her new schedule. As soon as the janitor, Carl, directed her, Alex dashed off into the sea of teenagers.

      As Alex walked into the counseling office, she bumped into a young man. Alex looked him up and down as she analyzed him. He had fairly long trimmed hair, a nice style of clothes, and looked to be about 5'9 (very tall compared to her 5'4 figure). Distracted from her thoughts, the teenage boy broke her from her trance.

      "You like what you see. Because you know I can't really stand here forever?" said the boy with a smirk.

      "Well aren't you full of yourself Mr. Cocky?" Alex defensively lied.

      She then quickly walked away blushing.

      When Alex received her schedule she thought to herself, "Geometry? For first period! Are you kidding me? Shit, I guess I'm just going to have to drink extra coffee for now on ha-ha."

      As she walked into her geometry class, Alex thought about the guy from earlier. She thought about his dark black hair (clearly straight) and his dark brown eyes. He had a good sense of style but it all seemed a little too dark for her. Then it hit her! He was a wizard but not just any wizard. The boy from earlier is a dark wizard. Her enemy... Alex did seem to notice these dark vibrations she got from him but she didn't understand why she was getting them. Now she knows she has to stay away from that guy or things can get really ugly, considering the fact that she's a good wizard.

      As Alex walked into the classroom, she soon realized all the attention she was starting to get but chose to ignore it.

      "Excuse me, where do I sit Mr...?" Alex awkwardly asked the teacher.

      "Oh, my apologies Ms. Marie. My name is Mr. Tebbet. Welcome to my 12th grade geometry class! If you can please have a seat right there next to Ryan, thank you very much." replied Alex's teacher.

Alex's POV

      Sit next to... Oh my gosh. There he is. That guy from earlier. The dark wizard...
