It had taken more than half an hour to arrive at his special destination. Once he parked the car on the side of a dirt road, she looked around. Annabelle seen nothing, except a long dirt road."This isn't all of it." Harry said as he parked the vehicle.
Well, don't just stand there, show me.
Harry walked over to Annabelle and once again laced their fingers together as they began to walk, and to be honest, she was loving the feeling of his fingers on hers.
They walked for at least fifteen minutes. She isn't sure why he didn't just drive them all the way down here. In not too much time, a green field came into view. The grass was long, up to Annabelle's knees. There were many daisies and, what she likes to call "wish flowers" everywhere. The scene was completely breathtaking. There was one tree she could see in the distance, and she wanted to go look at it.
Annabelle let go of Harry's hand and ran all the way up to the tree, which was difficult because of the long, thick grass that kept trying to pull her down.
When Annabelle finally approached the tall tree, she seen that there were pears hanging off of the branches. A pear tree- just one, in the middle of nowhere.
A large smile took place on Annabelle's lips as she took in all of the beauty before roaming around a little more. Only a couple feet to the left of the tree was a bit of a drop-off, a small cliff of sorts. At the bottom was a small ground of sand and dirt, which turned into a little creek. The water wasn't dirty, but it wasn't completely clear either.
Annabelle's smile grew wider as she turned around, looking back to the field. How is this place so beautiful and so secluded? It's like her own little fairy-tale that she were in love with.
Quickly, Annabelle ran back over into the field, but as she got closer to Harry's car, she realised he wasn't there anymore. His car was still parked in the same place, but Harry was nowhere in sight. She turned her head, seeing the empty field, then turned back around seeing an empty car and an abandoned dirt road.
Annabelle stood in the middle of the field, clueless as to where he had gone.
A gasp escaped her lips as she was pulled down to the ground by her knees. Her bottom landed on the ground, and she came face to face with a giggling Harry.
She hid her smile as she pushed him away and got comfortable. The grass was covering their heads when they sat down. That must have been why she couldn't see him.
His giggles died down and he came closer, sitting right in front of her, their knees touching. They simply stared at each other for a few moments, and he decided to speak.
"I'm sorry about earlier, at the store. When I kind of snapped at you." He said, scratching the back of his neck. Then his hand dropped to his lap and he grinned. "And for scaring you." He held back his laughter, and Annabelle couldn't help but smile at him.
Once again they fell into a comfortable silence, just staring. It was weird. Why were they so comfortable with each other?
His hand moved up to her neck, his fingertips grazing her skin, making a chill go down her spine. His fingers grabbed her ponytail and pulled the hairband out. His fingers then ran through her hair, making it fall back down over my shoulders.
"I like you hair better when it's down." He said quietly. His free hand grabbed her wrist, and he slid her hairband over her hand and onto her wrist. He smoothly moved his hand into hers, holding it gently.
Why is he being so nice? Why is he making it so difficult for her not to like him?
Annabelle stood up, pulling him with her, never letting go of his hand. She led him over to the tree.
"Pears." He said. She stood on her tiptoes, trying to reach one. So close, but she couldn't quite grab it, only touch it with her fingertips. She felt his hands on her waist, holding her, and pushing her body up just the slightest bit so she could grab one. When she did, she turned around to face him."Are you going to eat it now?" He asked, an amused look on his face.
Not yet, it's dirty.
She walked over to the ledge and looked down. It wasn't that far of a drop. Maybe seven feet.
Then she had an idea.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Annabelle got down and grabbed onto the ground, letting herself hang over the ledge. She let herself fall. It was only like, two feet of falling. So why not?
Once she got down, she realised she left the pear up there.
Just as she was about to frown, it came falling down. Then Harry's body did as well, just like the pear, his body hit the ground. He had landed on his back. Annabelle laughed, out loud. She couldn't help it. It was just too funny to not laugh at. He groaned, a smile on his lips. A small laugh came out of him.
"Well, if that's what I have to do to make you laugh..." He said, standing up. "Then I'd do it any day." He finished, dusting his pants off.
She smiled, picking up the pear and bending down to wash it off in the water. She didn't bother drying it. She took a bite and turned to Harry.
Harry reach out and took it, taking a bite for himself. He 'hmm'ed and nodded. Then threw it into the water.
Her jaw dropped, and she looked at him as if he was crazy. Then she looked down. Her eyes went wide and her mouth quickly shut.
His shoes, socks, an pants were lying on the ground. He was only in boxers and his black t-shirt.
"If you want it," he took his shirt off. "You'll have to go get it." He smirked, then ran into the water and jumped in, making a splash.
No. Nope. There's no way she is stripping down to her bra and panties and going swimming with Harry. Not only would that be weird, but then he would see her body. No thank you.
"Come on, Annabelle! The water is warm!" He shouted, holding the pear up and taking a bite from it.
She shook her head and took a step back, her right hand moving out to hold her left elbow.
"Annabelle!" Harry whined. She shook her head again.
He sighed. "What if I close my eyes until you're in the water?" She shook my head. "What if I let you wear my t-shirt, and closed my eyes until you're in the water?" She bit my lip, thinking it over. It does seem like fun.
She slightly nodded, making him smile. He turned around and she quickly took her clothes off, leaving on her underwear and bra, then slipped his t-shirt on. It went down to her thighs.
She walked into the water and swam over to him. He turned back around, handing her the pear. She wasn't in the mood to eat it anymore. So she threw it behind her head.
He laughed and splashed me. So she splashed him. And soon, they were having a battle to the death of splash-war. Okay, maybe not to the death, but it had become a serious game that she just happened to be winning.
His laughter filled her ears, along with the sound of water being thrown back and forth. She let herself quietly giggle a few times.
She shut her eyes, rubbing them with her knuckles. He also stopped splashing.
She felt his hands grab her waist and pull her body close to his, so close she could feel his chest moving up and down against hers. She looked up, and saw his beautiful, breathtaking, green eyes. She has never seen pure green eyes like his. Hers have green and brown in them, but his are pure green. So magnificent.
Her hands moved up and held his arms. She saw many tattoos, and she instantly loved them. The way the black ink sat on his tan skin was beautiful.
"Like them?" He asked as she studied them, even the ones on his chest and collar bones. She nodded, looking up at his hair. It was drenched and curly, hanging down. There was one curl hanging down on his forehead. She pushed it back, making Harry freeze.
She slowly moved my hand back down, not sure what she did to upset or hurt him.
So she wiggled her way out of his grip and swam away, going back to the land and grabbing her dry clothes. She threw them over the ledge, then stepped up on a large rock and climbed up.
