"You really weren't fucking kidding with your ice cream..."
I grinned, giving a half-snort while scooping another three spoonfuls of the Rocky Road ice cream into a large bowl I pulled out of one of the cupboards.
It took me a while to find a bowl actually. More than expected.
Easton had his kitchen set up weird. Everything was in a more odd place than it should be. For example, the bowls. I figured the bowls would be in the cupboards right by the fridge; to my brain it made sense because 'food'. Hello.
But no. Instead... and I'm not kidding at all when I say that Easton had all his silverware in that particular cupboard.
The gray tray where you placed all the silverware was positioned to slant against the back of the cupboard enough that the bottom part could hold itself up against the wooden edge blocking it in. And there were the spoons, knives, and forks placed in their own space in the tray.
But still... I was staring at it for a good fifteen seconds before looking over my shoulder at Easton with a raised brow.
The Were was leaning against the entrance of his kitchen with his arms crossed. Those piercing eyes of his were watching me, almost waiting for me to say something about his kitchen set up.
Deciding to hold off, I looked back to the tray and raised a hand to just grab a spoon. Then closed the cupboard.
My eyes traveled over the rest of the cupboards and wondered what else Easton did with them. I turned around slowly, studying the kitchen and began seeing the layout that I was completely ignorant to before.
Other than the stove, fridge, and granite island, nothing was where it should be.
The pots and pans were hanging on the wall, like decoration and not cooking equipment. They were seriously nailed to the walls with strips of paper that labeled which pot or pan went where.
Then there was the toaster sitting in the middle of the island. Just sitting there. Nowhere near an outlet of any sort.
My eyes shifted to the stove where I focused on the oven area. Narrowing my eyes, I walked over and pulled the door open and blinked a few times at the glass and plastic dishware stuffed into it.
I found the bowls, by the way.
Straightening, I scrunched my nose and looked over at Easton.
"Why is your kitchen set up like this?"
I walked over to the other cupboards, using both hands to pull the doors open at once and then continued to do this to the rest of them. While I was finding more slanted trays with utensils, Easton finally addressed my question.
"There a problem?"
I pursed my mouth to the side, lowering a brow while eyeing the bag of onions stuffed into one cupboard. Frowning still, I looked at Easton as I shrugged a shoulder to let him know that it was a bit... well, against the norm.
Easton's nose scrunched, sniffing out, "Who says how everyone else has their kitchen is normal?"
Point taken.
"It's just..." I paused, sorting through the countless jars of banana and peach flavored Gerber baby food. "This seems a little out there, Ease."
I was given a scoff, Easton huffing, "How so?"
Lowering a brow, I reached into the last cupboard and pulled out something while turning a bit to face the Were who looked offended by my criticism.
"This one has a potato in it..."
