Discovering Casper

There was a coffin. Katherine quickly opened the coffin and they all were stunned when they saw Casper inside. Tears roll down Katherine's eyes and her hands were trembling. Eric checked the pulse of Casper.

"He is alive Katherine, stop crying and help me."

They lifted Casper and took him inside the house. They made him lie on the sofa. Casper opened his eyes as Myra sprinkled water on him, and he was happy to see everyone.

"I'm alive, Kat", joked Casper.
"This is Casper", announced Katherine.
Eric and Myra smiled.
"Of course i'm Casper. Why?", Casper seemed confused.

"Because...", Eric narrated the entire fuss.

"So you recognised that it wasn't me because he didn't call you 'Kat'! ", exclaimed Casper.

"Of course", said Katherine.

"How genius am I, right Eric!", and they laughed.

Katherine punched him and asked, "How did this happen?"

"I went to take the lamp in the kitchen. Some noise came and i turned behind. I saw a vase raised in air, it suddenly came and hit me on head. I fell unconscious. When I gained consciousness, maybe I was in the coffin, everything was dark. I screamed, banged the coffin but there was no response. I again fell unconscious maybe because of less oxygen. " Casper narrated everything and drank some water.

" We need to do something as soon as possible. These spirits are becoming dangerous", said Myra.

Katherine's phone vibrated, when she checked, it was a message from Venisa.
She jumped,
"Hey, Venisa has sent the address. It is about 18kms from here."

"We'll go tomorrow",said Eric.

The lights started flickering.

"Is it low voltage?", asked Myra.

"SO YOU ARE ALIVE CASPER.. BUT YOU WON'T BE FOR LONG.. I'LL KILL YOU"

Everyone stood up and looked in fear. They could see Scarlett, in her evil look.
Before they could understand anything or say something, she vanished.

Katherine held Casper's hand in worry.

"Don't worry, Kat. Nothing will happen", said Casper.

They went to their rooms.

Katherine was looking at her photo album which had pictures of her and Casper when they were young.
Casper came in her room and sat beside her.
There was a picture where they both were eating oranges in the backyard.

"You remember, Kat, I used to pluck the apples from Mathew uncle's tree, our neighbour."

"Of course I remember. I used to stand near the gate and if he would come i would sing aloud, 'Jingle bells jingle bells, jingle all the way.. Santa clause is coming around..'
This was our secret code for danger."

"Ya, this always saved us", said Casper.

"I wish we could become small again", said Katherine.
