"Oh, look who's back", you stifled a laugh when you saw the man roll his eyes. "It's our beloved armadillo!"
Scott, who was just beside you, couldn't hold his laugh any longer. Seeing Logan so mad made his day every time.
His hilarity soon caught the attention of the students who were walking down the corridor, as well as Jean's and Ororo's.
"Hey Logan", the red-head welcome the mutant with a warm smile, glaring at her boyfriend. "Glad to have you back!"
"Glad to see you alive, most of all", Ororo corrected, making you chuckle. Logan glanced at you but didn't say a thing.
Scott was finally calming down, which made it possible for Jean to carry on the conversation. "So, what happened here?"
"Armadillo here doesn't seem to like his new nickname, but Laser tag", you pointed at Scott who was bent over, laughing, "does. That's pretty much it?"
"Armadillo?" Ororo asked before anyone else could make a comment.
"Yeah, pink fairy armadillo. It has, like, claws and always seems angry..."
"Very funny, very", Logan finally spoke, glaring at you.
"You didn't like the previous one", you whined loudly, and Jean shook her head in despair. "I had to find a new one!"
"Or not."
"She definitely had to", Scott chimed in, wiping a couple of tears on his cheeks. "This is the funniest thing I've heard in ages!"
"Listen to me-"
The bell rang, interrupted Logan in the middle of his sentence. You sent him a bright smile before walking towards your classroom, waving one last time at him. "See you around, armadillo!"

You were making yourself a sandwich, alone, in the kitchen. You were singing a song that was stuck in your head, so you didn't notice Logan until he was standing before you.
"Oh, hey armadillo! How are you doing?" You casually asked, smirking at the nickname.
"Stop calling me that."
"But why? I like it!" You put a can of soda on the kitchen counter, next to your plate. "Armadillo."
"Call me that one more time", he walked closer to you, trying to intimidate you. "See what happens."
"Oh, I'm so scared. Quick, someone save me! Armadillo is coming after me!"
Logan sighed, watching as you burst out laughing. You really were something else. "Alright, but you brought that upon yourself, Short Stack."
"How dare you?" You immediately stopped laughing, looking at him with a shocked expression. "You can't..."
"I warned you", he said, nonchalantly, before grabbing a box of cereals.
"Don't call me that."
"Don't call me armadillo."
"I'm the one who gives the nickname, around here...."
"Not the only one."
You pushed him against the wall. He was surprised by the sudden attack but didn't move.
"What would it take so you stop?" You murmured, your face only inches away from his.
"You already know."
"Anything else?" Logan looked in your eyes, trying to understand why it bothered you so much.
"No. That's the only thing that'll make me stop."
You let out a loud sigh, shutting your eyes. "So, if I stop calling you armadillo, you'll stop?"
"Mutually beneficial", he stated.
Your eyes flickered to his lips, which Logan noticed. You finally took a couple of steps back, letting the man breathe some fresh air.
"Okay", you nodded repeatedly, "Okay. That's a deal."
"Perfect!"
You went back to the counter and grabbed your sandwich and soda before leaving the room, without another word.
"(Y/n)", Logan called you as you were just outside of the room. You turned around and this time, he was the one looking at your lips. "Thank you."
"No problem", you smiled sweetly at him and he felt his heart beating faster, "scissorhands." Wihout another word, you ran to your room, laughing quietly to yourself.
"I hate her", the man sighed, but the smile on his lips said otherwise. "Hate her."
