"so you're letting jaebum date her? unbelievable."

youngjae rolled his eyes. "hyung, please shut up." youngjae said as he grabbed a bag of chips from his drawer, opening it. jinyoung scoffed, "this isn't what we planned!" he exclaimed, taking the bag of chips from youngjae making him whine.

"look, youngjae. there's a reason i wanted you to do this." jinyoung said seriously, making youngjae sat up straight from curiosity. "which is?"

jinyoung averted his gaze, "i-i uh, nothing, nevermind." jinyoung said, but youngjae was not convinced. "hyung...tell me, or else." youngjae threatened, crossing his arms.

"i said it was not-"

"hyung!"

"geez! fine! no need to yell.." jinyoung said as he sat beside youngjae, unconsciously already eating youngjae's chips. "don't you think there's something suspicious about their relationship?"

"no?"

"tsk, idiot. i think there's something fishy." jinyoung said, narrowing his eyes at nothing. youngjae was confused... but curious. he motioned jinyoung to go on.

"days before your break up, i've noticed how jaebum suddenly became..gloomy. do you know what happened to him?" jinyoung asked, turning his head to youngjae. youngjae thought for a while before answering, "he said something about family problems?"

"that's a start. don't worry, youngjae. i'm going to find a way to solve this! detective jinyoung, out!" jinyoung said, standing up before running out of youngjae's room.

"my chips!" youngjae whined, grumpily taking his phone to satisfy his boredom.

it was a friday and youngjae woke up in a good mood. he skipped towards mrs. kang's office, greeting her before going to his office. he opened the door, stopping when he saw a bouquet of roses sitting on his desk.

youngjae walked towards it, examining it. he noticed a note sitting on one of the flowers before grabbing it to read.

'hey, uh, don't mind me. just someone who admires your cuteness.

sorry, i didn't have the guts to approach you. i'm dumb, i know.

-p

p.s at least i was smart enough to have the note printed! XD'

youngjae giggled, finding it cute. he grabbed the flowers, placing it on his small couch. youngjae sat on his office chair, opening his laptop. he opened the document mr. im sent to him before starting working on it.

a few minutes later, a knock was heard from the other side making youngjae's head jerk towards it. he saw jaebum smile before waving at him.

so, so cute.

wait what

youngjae returned the smile, waving a little. youngjae went back on his work again, but sighed when jaebum knocked again. he looked at jaebum who breathed onto the glass to make it moist before drawing a heart on it.

youngjae chuckled, finding it adorable. he motioned jaebum to leave him alone before working on the document again.

of course, it didn't work.

seeing how jaebum was now in his office.

"jaebum, seriously, leave me alone. i'm busy!" youngjae whined, jaebum's story about his mother's great great grandmother's cat being disrupted. jaebum stood up from the couch as he walked towards youngjae, going beside him as he bent down to look at what youngjae was working at.

"oh, i know what those are. here," jaebum said, placing his hand on top of youngjae's that was holding the mouse to guide him. youngjae immediately got flustered as he stared at jaebum's hand. the warmness it gave made the thousands of flashbacks from the back of his mind surface.

i missed this.

"then click this, and done." jaebum said, retrieving his hand. jaebum smiled at youngjae before walking towards the door. he opened it and was about to leave but almost forgot to say something important.

"by the way, dad said there's going to be a party later tonight as a celebration for our recent success. he wants all of his employees to be there. make sure to come!"

jaebum shoved youngjae his brightest smile.

then right there, i finally realized.

i did want jaebum back.
