youngjae groaned, shifting under his blanket as his hand reached for his phone. when he grabbed it, he checked the time. it was one in the morning. youngjae recalled the interesting events earlier, which made him look at his side.gone.
jaebum wasn't there which made youngjae sigh loudly. he thought about his life for a moment when he checked his phone again, he had 4 unread messages from jinyoung.
jinyoung: dude
jinyoung: i cant believe jaebum gave me the chachings
jinyoung: me and mark are staying somewhere (((which is totally not a hotelll lollll))
jinyoung: i might be home til exactly two days later soo
goodluck hehe ily and im sryyoungjae rolled his eyes. he got up and grabbed his shirt from the ground, putting it on as well as his boxers.
he stood up, caressing his ass for a second before noticing the familiar phone placed on his nightstand.
he walked towards it, now knowing it was jaebum's. he picked it up and turned it on, getting flustered when he saw jaebum's lockscreen was them from college.
youngjae got a little teary as he went out of his room, heading towards the living room. jaebum was sat on the couch, petting coco who was half asleep.
youngjae stared at the sight, his hands were trembling. he was on the verge of breaking down.
jaebum looked up, getting surprised seeing youngjae standing there. jaebum was about to ask what was wrong since he noticed how youngjae was trying to keep himself from crying when he saw his phone on his hand.
youngjae walked towards them, putting the phone on the coffee table as he sat beside jaebum, looking at him straight in the eyes.
"what's wrong?" youngjae asked. jaebum looked at him, confused. youngjae let out a shaky breath, he was really upset.
"you broke up with me, told me you cheated on me, yet you're here, acting like nothing happened." youngjae paused, his hands clenching in frustration.
"i know that wasn't the truth. jaebum, tell me what really happened. tell me why you broke up with me, please." youngjae said, almost desperate. jaebum looked down, hesitating.
youngjae's expression softened, "or is it because i'm not good enough?"
jaebum sighed, "jae, i'm sorry."
jaebum stood up, grabbed his phone. "there's ramen on the table." he said before grabbing his jacket and heading out.youngjae's body was stiff as he heard the door of his house closed. soon, he heard jaebum's car leave as he broke down in tears.
he sobbed, pulling his legs up and hugging them before choking on his own tears.
youngjae's hands were trembling, he didn't know what to do. all he could do now was cry.
maybe it's time to let go. maybe it's time to move on. maybe it's time to give up.
maybe it's the time to be happy again.
maybe.
