The Truth Behind It All

When I'd first moved to Hawaii, I didn't have any friends, beside these twins I'd known from Washington. It didn't take long for me to meet same amazing people, but the one who has had both positive and negative effects on my life, is the one who hurt me the most.

Her name is Kiera, she was beautiful, her hair cascaded down to the center of her back in long, luscious waves, her eyes sparkled no matter the case, and overall, she just seemed perfect.

She and I met in Health class during the first semester, but we'd never really gotten close until PE class. I'd asked her whether she takes the bus, walks, or gets picked up by a parents. And she'd told me that she walked home, which I did at the time as well, so I asked if she'd like to join me. We'd walked home together every day since then, until the first catastrophe.

Kiera invited me one day to come with her to the Safeway next to our school since we'd both gotten to school really early that day. She offered to buy me something, so I asked her is she could buy my a Snickers candy bar, which she'd done. After she'd purchased the items, we walked to school, barely missing the tardy bell. When I'd left class, I saw Olivia, who was the girl that Kiera had been buying a drink for at the Safeway in the first place. I'd seen Kiera buy the Starbucks drink for her and put it in her backpack, so I was really confused when Liv had asked me, "Why did you drink my Starbucks that Kiera bought specifically for me?"

"Umm.... excuse me?"

"Kiera told me that you drank my Starbucks without even asking whether it was yours or not."

"That never happened."

"Are you accusing Kiera of lying to me?"

"I'm not accusing her of anything, I'm telling you that that's not what happened. I watched Kiera put the drink in her bag when we'd arrived on school property."

"Well... okay. Just ask her about it okay? Byeeeeeee."

What... just... happened?

Then came the second catastrophe, which also branched off of Kiera taking me with her to the Safeway. Now go back and read this sentence: "She offered to buy me something." Now read it over and over again. Kiera had also taken me to the mall one weekend with her and her sister, Sacha. We walked into Icing, and I saw these earrings that were really pretty. Without even asking, Kiera had brought them up to the counter with us, and bought them for me as a surprise.

BOTH THESE THINGS WERE HER EITHER OFFERING TO BUY ME SOMETHING OR HER JUST BUYING THEM FOR ME WITHOUT ASKING.

A few weeks later, Kiera went up to me.

"Hey, you realize that you still owe me like... $20, right?'

"For what?"

"HAHAHA! For the food, obviously, and those earrings i'd bought you at Icing."

Um... what?

Then she came up to me the next day.

"You still owe me that $50, remember to pay me back, hon."

And the next day.

"Where's my $80?"

And it repeated and repeated until one day in PE, when her brother went up to me.

"Hey, where's my sister's $100 at?"

100 FUCKING DOLLARS????????

IT WENT FROM $20....
TO FUCKING 100???????

I was so pissed.

"Kiera, why is your brother telling me I owe you $100??

"Um...because you do? I thought you were smarter than that at the least."

"Well, I don't owe you $100."

"Yes, you do."

"No, I do not."

"My mom is a lawyer, I can sue you. You know that, right?"

"Does it look like I give a fuuuuuuuuuuuck?"

She'd walked away, but I hadn't. I went home and told my parents what was happening, My dad walked over to her house to give her parents $80, even though my dad knew Kiera was lying. My dad had come home and told me that her parents didn't even know what Kiera was doing, and her mom had never told Kiera that she was going to sue me, so he wasn't going to pay her anything.

Kiera fucking lied again and again.

But, then there was the third, and final, catastrophe. Let's go back to the day when Kiera and I were at the mall with Sacha. Kiera and I had this inside joke where we'd called each other cunts in a joking manner. And I decided to let Sacha in on the dun, instead of leaving her out.

"Heeeeeeeeey, cunt." I said to Sacha.

"Um..." She said nervously.

"It's an inside joke," Kiera explained.

SHE'D TOLD HER SISTER IS WAS AN INSIDE JOKE.

About two to three months later I got a text from Kiera,

"I'm not allowed to hang out without because you called Sacha a cunt."

One; that was three months ago, so why has it taken this long for it to come up? Two; you and I both know that it was our inside joke, but you aren't going to stick up for me? I was confused, but I didn't argue.

Since that day, Kiera and I have been in kind of an on and off friendship. There have been many situations in which I've gotten in trouble because of her (one including me getting suspended for two days), but it doesn't matter anymore. It's all in the past, and I'm done with her and her problems.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys... sorry if this seems a little UNEXPECTED. I was just really done with everything this morning and I just wanted to get everything off my chest. Kiera follows me on this app, but at this point, I don't care how she feels. She can report me to the school for "online bullying", but that isn't what's going on. She can tell her parents, but what's the point? They probably don't even know that truth behind what's been happening.

I really am okay guys, I do feel a little down, but nothing major. The next chapter does explain more about why this needed to happen, but the things that happened this morning was just a small part of everything. I try over and over again, but it'll never really happen. If it ever does, I know I have you guys here for me, so I have no worries.

Love you all.
