Alex had decided to walk home after that. It wasn't too far. Only 6 blocks. He hugged himself, watching his feet as he walked. Fall had just started, and leaves were starting to fall. He made sure to not step on them whenever possible. A leaf landed in his hair.

Why did Bug kiss him? There wasn't an obvious reason. He knew Bug never would like him in a gay way.

He looked up, the leaf staying in his hair. He frowned a little, still trying to come up with something.

Was it for a joke? No, that kiss felt real. He seemed like he really cared.

If it wasn't a joke, then why?

He couldn't think of anything. With a sigh of defeat, he looked back down, kicking a rock. He tried blanking his mind, but he couldn't. All he could think about was Bug.

Fuck, everything about him was amazing. There wasn't a single negative thought that crossed Alex's mind.

... that kiss.

No, stop thinking about it, Alex told himself. It's stupid and you're over thinking it. He didn't mean it how you hope.

He kicked a rock, frowning more. The rock rolled surprisingly smoothly down the sidewalk littered with fragments of leaves.

A few minutes later, he walked into his house. It was much warmer than the chilly outdoors. He kicked his shoes off and took off the thin jacket he was wearing, walking to his room.

He laid on his bed as soon as he got inside his room, curling up. While he thought sweetly about Bug, he slipped into a light sleep.
