It had been weeks since Alex and Bug had talked. Hell, it was nearing a month and the two hadn't said a word to each other. No apologies, no talking about what happened. Nothing.

It was currently 2 in the morning. Bug was sitting in his bed, curled up. He stared at the floor, closing his eyes tightly after a while.

It had been like this for the past month. Bug hadn't been sleeping much. Sure, he didn't sleep much normally, but he was sleeping even less now. Instead of sleeping, he'd stare at his ceiling, thinking about his last words to Alex.

"I didn't mean it, Alex."

He shook his head, trying to convince himself of that.

"I was just tired."

He had been fully coherent. He knew what he was saying and he meant it.

"Sorry."

That was the one thing he meant. He didn't mean for it to slip. He had been so careless, and it cost him. Now he was alone, not able to talk to the man he loves. It was all his fault, everything was his fau-

He was knocked out of his train of depressing thoughts by hearing his phone ringing. It was different from his other ringtones.

Something clicked inside him instantly.
