“How could you!” I shout at James as I stare in shock on what James had said to a unknown female species about our daughter, like she didn’t even exist! James was in shock, almost, my eyes had tears in them. I turn my heel and walk off, trying to ignore his call. We were on the Star ship Enterprise, I turn around and yell at him more. “How could you toss YOUR daughter aside like that?! Hm? Tell every woman YOU meet that you have nothing!”
“I lie to protect-”
“Your reputation? Is that it? Is your reputation more important than our own daughter?” I questioned him with tears in my eyes. “Sometimes I wish I didn’t have her with YOU! Because I feel like you don’t even do YOUR part as a dad!” I shake my head stopping in my tracks making him stop and I turn around as my shoulder blade length blond hair hit my face, “I don’t even know if I should even be here anymore? Chasity barely sees us as it is anymore, I wanna be home with her, and be a mom!”
James was still in shock, trying to recollect himself and I stare at him with tears still falling down my face. “Were you lying to me when you were happy? Happy that we were having a baby?”
“No I – I never lied about that.” He defended himself making me smile a bit, I knew he was telling the truth, but it still hurt. “Why would you even think that?”
“Because you can’t listen to reason, James. You don’t have an ounce of self-restraint.” I reply as calm as I could. “Every time we go somewhere, you end up just sleeping with anything that’s a female, and. . . I can’t have that around Chasity.” More tears fell from my eyes. “I’m sorry James, but. . . I’m going to have to resign my status under your command as First Officer and live with Pike, I need to be around her” I shrug and turn not wanting to see his face. “I guess this is goodbye.” I ran off and ignored everything around me. My body was heavy, my heart was broken and hurt, and my eyes stung from the tears falling down.
