Phoenix POV
It was sudden. Way too sudden. I remember. What I remember? I don't really know, but I do remember. The crash, my parents, screaming, blurry vision,an evil presence, sirens, waking in the hospital, the nurses looking oh so sad as they told me something I couldn't make out, but I did hear some. Words that let me know what had happened. Crash. Parents. Dead. Sorry. Then, suddenly a man. Someone I didn't know, busted through the doors a little after the nurses left. He pointed something towards the security camera and it deactivated. He was talking quickly. Why? I don't know. I didn't know what he was saying, but he was unhooking my machines as he spoke. He lifted me onto his back and ran out of the room, the shrill sound of the hospital equipment fading away. He was fast, that was for sure. I was positive the security wouldn't even be able to catch up to him. Each corner we came to he peeked around and bolted. Where was everyone? Wasn't there supposed to be nurses chatting with each other, looking at clipboards, and old men patients in wheelchairs like in the movies I watched with mom and dad? Then, we were out. Some security they had. Even if they had guards, they probably didn't see us. He opened the door, carefully placed me in the car, and closed the door. He ran around to the other side and hopped in. We heard yelling and I lifted my head and looked out of the window as the stranger hastily tried cranking the car up. It was the doctor, some nurses, and multiple security guards running towards the car. So they did have security. I placed my hand flat against the glass as we took off, leaving the workers behind. I slumped back in my seat and let my head fall against the window.
"S-slow down," was the first thing I said.
"Sorry. I forgot," He flashed a smile towards me before locking his eyes back to the road.
"Who... Who are you?" I asked.
"You must've been drifting in the hospital. Listen kiddo, I know you have a lot of questions, but they are gonna have to wait 'till we get to the site. According to an inside worker, you've been out for a week, scratch that, a WHOLE week. That bastard, Vincent. He killed your parents, Phoenix. He kept you alive because of your premature raw powers. Implanted some of his dark power into that bandaged eye of yours-" I lifted a bandaged hand to feel the eye I couldn't see out of. He was right. The bandaged wrapped around my head also covered my right eye.
I'm gonna need glasses aren't I...
"-and you sustained pretty bad injuries, but they won't heal like they're supposed to. Human technology doesn't work for our kind," He glances at me quickly.
"Say, Phoenix, you didn't happen to get a look at Vincent, did you?" He asked.
"I... I-" Suddenly images began flashing in my head. The shadow that loomed over me before disappearing, it's terrifying smile, its wild and sharp eyes, and those scars...
Before I could finish my sentence, I gained a huge migraine. I slumped over so that I could place my head in my hands as I gasped in pain. As if that would help.
"That's okay! It's okay! You don't have to remember, Phoenix. Quit trying," He put a hand on my shoulder as he pulled over.
"He probably did something to your brain, precisely the hippocampus... Damn."
I looked up, and a look of hurt washed over his face.
"I-It's not your fault though! Don't blame yourself okay?"
What? I'm confused now. Why was he apologizing.
"What?" I cocked my head to the side.
"Oh, you weren't- it's just that- you looked... Um... Let's go," He started the car up again. I got back to my original position, watching the scenery.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked boredly.
"Somewhere your parents would've wanted me to take you. Lunar Hall Camp,"
A moment of silence passed by before he spoke again.
"You'll meet kids like you there. There parents killed in natural causes, murdered, or sent there. All of their abilities range, but you. I think yours will best them all."
I was aware of this superhero business with my parents and me, so I really didn't know how to react.
"Do you know what my power is?"
"Powers not power. Phoenix you are one of the most rarest heroes still alive. A hero who inherits his parents abilities AND his own. You have assassin blood running through you, better yet, wolf blood too."
"Oh."
I didn't know what else to say. So, I waited. Waited until we got to Lunar Hall. Eventually, I fell asleep

I was woken by someone calling my name. I was still sleep, but awake though. I was conscious of everything that was happening, but not at the same time. How do I explain? I heard them sigh and felt myself being picked up. An arm around my back and one under my knees. I was picked up and pressed against someone's chest. Dad?
"No, Phoenix. It's me. Wake up, we're here."
It wasn't dad. That's right. My parents. Their dead. Despite his command, I kept my eyes closed. I heard him sigh again. He shifted and I heard the car door close. Then, he began to walk. I heard lots of voices some concerned, some squeals, and others I don't even know nor want to think about.
"Mr. Razor! What happened is he okay?" I heard incoming footsteps and someone ask a question. So his name is Razor-san.
"Pierce, I need you to take him to the clinic. Get Gretta and Ai to access his injuries. They aren't healing like they should. Human hospitals can't treat Blanks,"
What? Did he just say Blanks? Am I a Blank?
"Yes sir!" I was placed into someone else's arms and heard everyone around us start shouting things like,
"I want to hold him!"
"He's so petite!"
"Lucky!""Clear the area! He's gonna be okay! Move! I'm gonna go report."
"Okay," Pierce said. I felt him analyzing me. I guess I must've had my eyes closed too long, because my mind shut down and I was asleep again.
I don't know how this new life will work, but I guess it's a risk I'm willing to take.
