"So Lisanna I know we haven't talked..." Lucy speaking broke Lisanna out of her train of thought. The blonde mage paused "At all since you came back from Edolas" Lisanna hadn't even thought of her old home in the alternate dimension. She was so worried about getting the man of her dreams. Lisanna looked down for a second and looked back up. Barley paying attention to Lucy blabbering.
"I was hoping if we could become closer as friends and you know talk a little more."
Lisanna stopped for a second and froze in thought.
"WHAAAAAAATTTT"
Lisanna could not believe what she was hearing. Her rival was asking her to be... friends. She felt an awkward knot in her stomach; she couldn't put her finger on what that knot meant. Her head was reeling; her face was flushing.
"WHAT THE.... WHAT IS THIS FEELING!" Lisanna screamed in her head as she forced a smile onto her flushed face.
Confused, Flustered, Angry even; Lisanna was confused even; She didn't expect Lucy to give any attention to her, never the less actually wonder if they could be friends. Lisanna couldn't process what was happening,
'MY ENEMY WANTS TO BE FRIENDS ?!!' Lisanna raked her brain cells for a response but there were none to be found that didn't sound confused or nervous. Lisanna looks back at Lucy to try and gather her composure.
All she saw were the kind brown eyes of guildmate; burning right through her to the core of her withered heart. Her brown eyes searing right through Lisanna's soul.
"Lisanna are you ok?" Lucy's doe eyes looked at Lisanna concerned for her guild-mate. Sure, the two mages have not held a solid conversation, never spoke more than a"Hello" to each other. However, our headstrong celestial mage was determined to make friends with the new guildmate. Lisanna was a close friend of her pyro partner, and as the saying goes a friend of a friend is a friend of mine. The celestial mage was determined to make the returning member a friend if anything an ally. Lucy waved her hand in front of the younger mage's face trying to snap her out of her trance. Lisanna flinched smacked Lucy's hand out of her face. Both of the girls reeled at the situation at hand.
"Sorry!" She mocks an apology attempting to regain her composure. "I... spaced out," Lisanna stops once again racking her brain for a response, there was none to come.
"Well take your time to think about it!" Lucy bubbly replies "You've been through a lot, least I can do is try and make a returning guildmate comfortable." Lucy beamed as she thought of all the things her and Lisanna. Shopping together, reading, sleep-overs, gossip sessions. It would be nice to have a close girlfriend in the guild who didn't live in Fairy Hills. A quick glance at Lisanna made Lucy second guess her day-dreams of having a girl bestie; besides for Levy. A dark shadow was cast over Lisanna's face, tears dripped to the floor. Lucy flinched back in fear of hurting Lisanna's feelings, she only asked if Lisanna wanted to be friends. Lisanna lifted her head as tears stream down her face.
"I...I would love to be your friend Lucy...I.." The white-haired mage lower lip quiver, a small sob escaped her mouth.
A nearly silent thank you left Lisanna's lips as a smile, a truly genuine smile paints her lips. Or so Lucy thought. Just as Lucy was about to say your welcome a shooting pain went through her scalp. Her eyes closed tight, tears gathering behind them, she wonders who the hell was causing her this pain.
"You made Lisanna cry..." A deep and rugged voice cut through the air like a knife. Lucy opened her eyes just enough to see who was causing her this pain. Tears pours from Lucy's face as she looks up to see her pink haired best friend yanking her hair.
"N...N...Natsu?"
