Blazing light broke through my window, cascading down my face. Light broke through the windows of  Lucy Heartfilia's apartment. Her warm chocolate eyes fluttered open, slightly blinded by the brightness of the pure beams of light. Her mind was still sluggish from just waking up, but with a quick shake of her head, her chocolate eyes lit up at the memory of her agenda for the day came to mind. An actual smile with the actual feeling of happiness, behind it.

The feeling of pain was no more in the blonde celestial mage. She was excited to see her pinked hair teammate, which doubled as a subtle crush. Getting up out of her bed, Lucy walked to her kitchen to prepare breakfast. The sizzling of eggs, and bacon and her humming were the only sounds in the small cozy apartments. A strawberry milkshake sat on the table along with a white plate, silverware, and a pink haired dragon slayer. Lucy didn't notice the pyro intruder, due to her being so distracted with making her breakfast. The busty blonde turned around to be greeted by, no other than her Team Mate and crush Natsu Dragneel!

"Heya Luce!" The pink haired pyro burst out. Lucy in a panicked state squealed not realizing who it was, threw her cast iron pot, that was holding her breakfast, behind her gripping it tightly, coming forward in the blink of an eye.

KLONK!  The collision of flesh and heated pain was swift, but GODS did it sound painful. (Think of Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider.... DON"T JUDGE ME! T_T) Eggs were flying, as well as bacon, especially into the eyes of a blue furred exceed. A high-pitched scream pierced the silence, as well as a masculine groan. Lucy looks at the madness she caused, egg yolk and bacon bits covered  Happy the exceed. A pink haired dragon slayer was rolling on the floor in pain, as well as a strawberry milkshake all over her floor!

"Oh, GODS! Natsu I am SO Sorry!" The blonde celestial mage says with a sincere apologetic tone in her voice and a pink dusting of blush on her face. Natsu was rubbing his face with that dorky grin that Lucy loves so dearly.

"No sweat Luce! I just came to see where you were, Happy and I have been waiting for you forever!" The pink haired pyro smiled warming Lucy's heart. Lucy still bowed in apology. Even though she felt awful about what happened, she could never stay mad at the grinning goof.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!" A high-pitched scream pierced the sweet moment; A blue flash passed by the two mages bumping off walls, still screaming. "MY EYYYYEESSSS!" The blur of fur screamed in agony. Natsu taking a second to realize the events of what was happening yelled.

"Happy?!" Natsu questioned trying to get the exceed to quiet and calm the exceed. The exceed flaring around, as the just realized smell of a burning fur and flesh came to the dragon slayer's nose.

"HAPPY!!" The dragon slayer roared with a ground shaking cry. Lucy looks at the pandemonium she caused. The embarrassed blush had long dispersed from her face, her racing heart slowed into a deadly silent beat.  She felt ashamed that she caused this but something deep inside f she stirred she was unsure of what but she felt an unknown feeling that confused her but she shook her head focusing on the pit of sadness in her being. She hurt not only her crush's best friend but her crush as well. The shadow of her bangs covered her face, silently she started to clean up the mess she created. The exploded egg on her walls; the bits of bacon in her floor cracks; pieces of her plate were scattered on her floor. Her smoothie was strewn over the side of her table plopping onto her already disheveled floor.

'Why did I think everything was going to be okay today. That's impossible; Imma failure, I'm not strong; I didn't even save my father in his time of need. I didn't even say good-bye. Hell, I can't even make breakfast."

The silence of Lucy went unnoticed by the oblivious moron she loved; but only for a few seconds. He looks down from his position of trying to grab the panicking puff of fur from the air. He manages to grab the tail of his best friend knowing he would apologize later. Natsu jumps down from the table that surprisingly did not shatter over his constant jumping on the poor little table. He lifts the blonde's head into his hands noticing the coldness of her face slightly concerning him. Being the oblivious dork he was he thought she was hurt but physically. He tries to examine his's team mate's face. He grinned with satisfaction as he saw no cuts and scars on his best human friend's face. But he still felt dissatisfaction with Lucy's face. She seemed; spacey, sad, lonely, and hurt. And with Natsu being the clueless dope he is, he thought Lucy was embarrassed, but he shook his head thinking of all her ego-fluffing moments he shared with her. He bows his head and makes contact with his best female friend, smiling.

"Lucy," he says in a sincere voice with elegance and kindness lacing the syllables together. Lucy looked up with glassy eyes, as well as a blush staining her face at the closeness of the two's faces.

"You really gotta toughen up." His sincere tone dropped into a dead-panned expression, which exploded into a fit of giggles.

The blonde mage looked up at her crush, but it wasn't with an apologetic smile and a nod full of determination. It was a grim smile turning up to a sinister grin, full of that feeling that Lucy didn't quite understand. She got up and opened her bedroom door with the pink haired following in tail. Once Lucy is through her door she pivots on her heel slamming the door with a bone-shattering sound. Leaving Natsu with a face full of door.

Behind the closed door, the shadow of Lucy's bangs covered her eyes as well as the silent tears falling.

'Be Stronger Lucy!' 'You're Heavy Lucy'  What am I to him, a little doll he can tell whatever to do and I do it! I'm sick and tired of being insulted by this...this...this asshole! You know what I am going to be stronger. Not for him, not for the Guild. But for me to prove his smart ass wrong! I am Lucy Heatfillia! Daughter of Jude Heartfillia Member of the Fairy Tail Guild. I am not going to be pushed around by some Ego-Fluffing, Narcissistic, Brainless Fire Spitting Lizard! But if I'm gonna get stronger I'm going to need his help.' Lucy thinks ruthlessly. She dove into her wardrobe picking out an outfit for training, not having much to wear besides of her normal clothing she decides to wear her cheer uniform from the Fairy Tail Pageant. (I'm Sorry... I Don't Remember the name.T-T) She goes into her bathroom to change, pulling her once down, and disastrous hair into a side ponytail. She looks into the mirror with a confident smirk

'Get Stronger; Wait and Watch Dragneel! Wait and Watch.'  The blonde thinks. With haste in her steps, she moves to her little table by her bed. Grabbing her whip and keys she goes to her door. She finds Natsu sitting there staring off into space, with an even bigger and brighter red mark on his face. She smirks at the sight. A small giggle escapes her mouth seeing the dragon slayer in such a dazed state.(A/N: Think of Tanaka from Black Butler when he's all chibi-fied) She taps Natsu on the shoulder trying to wake the dragon slayer from his daze. But he was still staring off into space.

I guess this can be the first part of the training. Lucy thought before slinging the pink, dragon slayer onto her back supporting his legs.

HOW IS HE THIS HEAVY! The thought screeched the blonde's head. Quivering under the weight of the muscular Dragon Slayer, Lucy takes steps quaking under her and Natsu's steps. She walks to her door, feeling the cramping of legs take over her her being.

"This is going to be a long walk to the guild" She mumbles under her breath, starting her venture to the guild; to begin her journey to become stronger, in more ways she will ever know.
