• a few years after the losers club had been friends & Eddie and Richie had been dating, Eddie and his mom got into a terrible car crash
• much to Eddie's dismay, his mom was fine but he himself had a major injury
• the crash left him permanently crippled and in a wheelchair
• all of the losers were absolutely shocked but were all there for him <3
• Beverly actually broke into tears, but Eddie made sure to reassure her it was all okay
• but richies reaction,
• oh boy
• we all know Richie is all fuckin extra with his lil baby boi
• the day after they all got the news and were planning to meet at the barrens, Richie made sure to steal a bunch of ribbons n shit from his moms crafting room
• he actually tied a bunch of random shit and decorated Eddies wheelchair while the others were fucking around
• "you look better now, in my opinion, Eds"
• "Call me that again and we can share my wheelchair!"
• several months later, everyone got used to Eddies disability, and practically acted like nothing even changed
• all except for Richie Tozier
• he was all extra extra now
• in public, Richie would always show off Eddie, speaking loudly about how amazing he is no matter what happened
• "OH BOY, DOES MY EDDIE SPAGHETTI HAVE THE BEST WHEELCHAIR AROUND."
• cuz we all know Eddie would never take the ribbons off his chair
• he'd would always have to hide his blush while whisper-yelling & threatening Richie
• so now onto the soft stuff
• Eddie would've gotten used to getting himself onto his couch to snuggle Richie while they just kissed and shit
• theyre so disgustingly in love

• during the winter, they'd have these races on the ice outdoors
• Eddie would gracefully glide across the ice on his chair,
• but Richie would always end up falling and hurting himself
• Eddie would laugh to hide his sympathy for his dumb boyfriend he loves so very much
• they'd go inside and drink got chocolate and just be boyfriends
• OF COURSE Richie would do that thing and make a whipped cream mustache
• hed do one of his dumb accents and Eddie would roll his eyes so many times they almost fell out
• when the losers go to the quarry, Eddie always gets all emo because he no longer can go swim and have fun
• so ofc, Richie would stay behind with Eddie and they'd legit sit there and make out the entire time
• afterwards the losers would tease them over it
• they'd both blush aw
• Richie would always find a way for Eddie to feel better and make him feel like he fits in, even tho he doesn't give a shit anymore that he's in a wheelchair
