My room was quiet and dark as I laid in my bed. I thought to myself.. 'Would an actual school be better than being home-schooled?' I've been thinking about stuff like this for a while.

I never got to explore outside of my castle which sucks honestly. I heard a quiet knock on my door. I got out of my bed, and walked up to the door slowly opening it to see who was behind. It was Agnes.

She was about my age with short black hair, and big round glasses. She was also a little clumsy. But that made her special to me.

I quietly said, "yes?" She had a worried look on her face, but spoke. "R-ruby is trying to l-leave again." And by "leave" she meant trying to leave the castle. Which we aren't allowed to do obviously.

I rolled my eyes slightly and opened my door all the way exiting my room. I looked towards Agnes and asked, "Where is she this time?" She walked in front of me saying, "Th-this way." I followed.

We ended up in front of Ruby's room. I stepped in front of Agnes and looked inside. It was dark, but I noticed the window was wide open. I walked towards it and looked around.

I then looked outside the window. "Ugh. She's so ignorant." I say under my breath. I turned towards Agnes who was a few feet away from me. I say to her, "Go outside and look around the castle for her.I'll tell the guards to look for her too."

She nodded and left the room. I turned back towards the window and looked out of it towards the sky for a while. I turned back around and left the room.

After about an hour or so, we found Ruby. She was at a forest about two miles away. The king scolded her about not leaving the castle. He said it was dangerous.

I wanted to believe him, but it was hard. I want to travel out to the real world for once. To see what its really like out there. But that's not possible. I sat on a bench outside in the garden looking at flowers.

Roses to be specific. They were my favourite kind of flower. All the different colours were so beautiful. I heard faint laughter.

I looked up and noticed a few figures in the distance. About three I believe. It was difficult to tell. I saw them throwing objects at each other. They looked like they were having fun, and it made me smile.

I looked around to make sure no one was around watching me. Once I saw that the coast was clear, I stood up from the bench and started walking over to the figures. As I got closer, they became clearer. It was three boys throwing a ball at each other.

I smiled again. It looked like so much fun. I walked closer to them. One of them noticed me and stopped playing with the others. He had short brown hair and dark, brown eyes.

Then the other boys looked at me too. I smiled a little and waved. One of them smiled and waved back. He had short blond hair, blue eyes, and thin, rectangle glasses. The last boy had shoulder length black hair and green eyes.

He just stared at me. It made me feel a little uncomfortable, but I just ignored it. I looked at the boy with blond hair and asked, "Wh-what are you guys doing?" I stuttered a little. Seeing boys around my age made me nervous. They were all really cute too.

"We're playing football." The boy with black hair said holding the football in the air. "You know how to catch and throw?" The boy with brown hair asked.

"I'm not sure. I never tried it." I said blushing slightly. "Think fast." Said the boy with black hair said as he threw the ball towards me. It scared me but I caught it somehow. I looked at the boys smiling saying, "Caught it."

They all had surprised looks on their faces and that made me giggle. "Okay well try throwing it." The boy with blond hair said walking a few feet away from me. I took a deep breath and threw the ball towards him.

It didn't make it to him though. I got really embarrassed and looked down as my face was flushed. "S-sorry." I say stuttering. The brown haired boy walked up to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. I jumped a little and looked at him.

"Don't worry. We can teach you how to throw a football if you want." He smiled at me. I smiled back. "Sure." I said. But then the black haired boy said, "We'll have to tomorrow. I need to get home or my mom will kill me." The browned haired boy looked at me.

"I'm sorry." he said "Its alright. I should get home too or I'll get in trouble." I told him smiling a little. "Will you be here tomorrow night?" The blond haired boy asked. "I'll try to be." I said then they started walking away.

The boys with brown hair and blond hair waved at me saying bye and I waved back. I tried waving at the last boy but he didn't do anything. Once they were out of sight I quickly ran back to the castle.

Once I got to the castle, I snuck inside and tip-toed to my room trying not to wake anyone. I successfully made it to my room and got into my bed. I started thinking about those boys. While I did I started to slowly drift off to sleep.
