Chapter 11: The Confound Fouroald

All agreed on this but they must journey all together although there is one big problem for they are in Fouroald. It’s tricky but luckily, Galvinior does have knowledge on places in Arphaenia. As what I have mentioned in the previous chapter, Fouroald has four roads each leading a secret and short passage to either North, East, West or Center of the realm and this is only in the near outside woods of the Western Kingdom. To define this place with more details, it is like the edge of the forest wherein there are many standing trees but the only different is that only four ways can be passed unlike in our world wherein you can pass in any way in any trees, also the passage way are all dark. Once you enter, you will be tricked but you will never be out of your mind although if fear reaches your head, you will just get confused on whether to proceed, fall back or sit and stay so focus is needed to each one of them. Galvinior started to think on where they should enter and he decided that they should pass on the third passage from the left. Without any hesitation, all marched to the third passageway (of course they are all in their horses now) led by Galvinior while Chev is at the last spot.

Upon entering the third passageway, Chevrius saw a light in the second passageway but he still forwarded with the others in the third passage. As all entered the passage, the trees started to walk and close the entrance but Chev still wonders the light in the second way so he looked back and cried out “Halt! The second passage is the right way! We shall all draw back now!”

All got surprised but Charv quickly added “Light is the way and the guide! Follow my brother he does know what he says!” At this time, all stared with each other but time is dying “Now!” ordered the prince and so Chev took the lead to get out of the third passage and those who are near him were Georgia, Fazia, Joshua, Achren, Michaell, Couragesonn and Agatha but she failed to reach the entrance as the trees already sealed the way and so, only the seven of them were able to enter the second passageway and all the passages were sealed now at this time.

“Our early plans were destroyed now” said Agatha.

“I cannot say for sure if it is a good thing that you did not make it Agatha or it is a bad thing. What I think is good that you are here with me my friend.”

“Thanks Paulinne.”

“We shall set forward!” All moved further into the road with the sun only their light in the dark way.

“Darkness is in our path, Chev said he saw the light” this moment, those who are in the third passage are likely to have doubts to Galvinior and Charv.

“Think not like that Sherllon, our mission has just started” then all chinned up.

Growls in distance...

“What was that?” Charv said.

Second passage has more light way than the third passage has. Chev takes the lead while Achren takes his eye to watch the group over. The road is straight and there are few vines that blocks the way but no one dared to cut them. As the team furthered in, the light gets weaker and weaker.

“Strange for instead of growing bigger, the light gets weaker” said the boulder.

“Don’t worry Joshua, we can get through this pathway” the prince countered. The team furthered their walk until the light in their front suddenly vanished.

Growls and frightful roars stumbles the team in the third passage. All weapons are drawn and ready to attack but all are still walking further to reach the end of the tunnel.

“Raise your weapons!” Charv called.  By this time, the trees are like crying but movement from the inside is visible and all are shaking like they are perishing and so, one of the trees in their right side just stumbled down. It now reveals a dark way beneath the centre part of the pathway. What they all hear is a roar like it’s thirsty for something and so, a figure from the stumbled tree showed itself to them. The figure is hooded and its body is somewhat covered with a very dark cloak. Also, a mist is like its own shadow and its eyes are very dark but as it walked closer, it turns red then into a bloody red color that make the girls scream a little.
